The neck-thru construction of the LTD MP-600 Michael Paget electric guitar ensures incredible strength and sustain from this V-styled monster. String vibrations naturally travel the entire length of the guitar. Those vibrations are sent to your amp two beefy active EMG pickups: an EMG-81 at the bridge and an EMG-85 at the neck.
Individual volume controls for each pickup and a pickup selector toggle allow you to make lightning fast changes from rhythm to lead. The guitar neck features a fast U-shaped profile and an ebony fingerboard with 24 medium frets, perfect for metal madness. Black Nickel hardware completes the MP-600's sinister look.

The ESP LTD MP-600 is an outstanding, high-performance, and versatile instrument with the trademark high-quality construction and consistent reliability that I was expecting from ESP/LTD. This is a truly outstanding instrument and a great value it surpassed my expectations. It really comes alive when you play it.
I purchased (ordered) the ESP LTD MP-600 in August 2011 through Guitar Center. In addition to ESP/LTDs solid reputation including my own experience -- for building high-quality and reliable instruments, I selected this instrument on the basis of (1) body shape (V-shape, 25-1/2 scale length, 24 frets); (2) tonal woods (mahogany body, ebony fretboard); (3) pick ups (active EMG 81/85 set); (4) controls (volume/volume/tone); and (4) construction (neck-thru, string-thru, TonePros locking, Sperzel locking tuners). I also purchased (also from Gutar Center) a V-shaped SKB hard-shell case that fits the MP-600 perfectly.
The guitar was shipped and delivered in perfect condition and the set-up was excellent and ready to play without any adjustments. All aspects of the construction are absolutely flawless and the guitar plays beautifully. The guitar is very solidly and meticulously built (in Korea). The neck-thru/string-thru construction gives the guitar a lot of sustain and significant natural resonance which can be felt even unplugged. The neck is very comfortable both for lead and rhythm work and the frets edges are very smooth. The EMG 81/85 combination set is very versatile and delivers a broad spectrum of sonic possibilities.
I also own (since 2007) an ESP/LTD DVR-8 (Mustaines signature ESP/LTD flying-V). Both instrument are generally comparable in terms of price point (DVR-8 price was $ 799), shape, configuration, hardware and electronic components. The MP-600 has somewhat higher-quality components and more expensive woods (ebony fretboard vs. rosewood fretboard). In addition, I find the neck of the MP-600 to be somewhat thicker than the DVR-8 when the neck smoothly joins the body at the 15th -- 17th fret. The MP-600s mahogany body gives it more weight than the DVR-8 and feels somewhat more top-heavy than the DVR-8 in terms of balance. Both are great instruments and very enjoyable to play.
In summary, the ESP LTD MP-600 is an outstanding, high-performance, and versatile instrument with the trademark high-quality construction and consistent reliability that I was expecting from ESP/LTD. This is a truly outstanding instrument and a great value it surpassed my expectations.
I have owned the ESP LTD MP-600 since August 2011 and it has been absolutely reliable in all aspects. All electronic components have performed flawlessly. The controls knobs and toggle switch respond solidly and accurately. The overall construction and assembly are very meticulously executed.
I find the ESP LTD MP-600 to be an excellent value for that price range. My own experience is that ESP/LTD provide a remarkable value for the money at any price point.

I have to say I love this guitar. Everytime I open the case to pull it out it's like seeing a brand new guitar every single time. It is light, and that's good I'm always at practice for hours. I'm not a fan of the color, I like quilted tops better but still nice looking with all the pearl and black nickel hardware. This guitar got me into V's, and the sound is VERY heavy, very crunchy. Cleans are fantastic. I don't know what else to say, pick it up, play it. You won't be disappointed.

Expected a better guitar for the price. The EMG's are about the only thing that is really all that great about this guitar. Locking tuners don't really work all that well. I should have gone with my better judgment an bought the ESP LTD Deluxe EC-1000 or the ESP LTD Deluxe MH-1000. Save your money and get something else.

Since the Eighties, ESP Guitars has been quickly become one of the top dogs in the Metal Buisness. Metallica, Slayer, formely Megadeth, Children Of Bodom, etc. Now twenty years later, B4MV Guitarist, Padge, has been chosen as the next shredder to have an ESP Signature Guitar. Based on the former DV-8, Dave Mustaine's signature model, the MP-600 rules. It has an improved neck, better pickups, the EMG's are GODLY! The Tonepros bridge is perfect, and the ESP Locking Tuners are amazing. The guitar is perfect. Padge, an obvious fan of Early Metallica, plays like a young Kirk Hammett, And this guitar sounds perfect for that kind of metal. This guitar is so great that on impulse, I bought it right away. It rules.

Wow. I knew ESP was wonderful, but this guitar is FLAWLESS!!! ESP Locking tuners and a Tonepros locking bridge provide that perfect tension that feels great on your fingers. I love guitars with two volume controls, so that is a plus. The white-bound ebony fretboard is velvet-smooth, and the neck has that perfect shape to it. The inlays are absolutely BEAUTIFUL!!! And the frets... ooooh the frets. I'm used to playing Extra Jumbo frets, but these medium frets felt better than any frets I've ever played on before. The pickups are EMGs, which I love. The 81 bridge pickup has cutting sharp tone, and the 85 neck pickup is sweet and great for sweeping. I love the shape, the 90% black color scheme, I love the tuners, I love the bridge, the pickups, the neck, and, well everything else this guitar has to offer. Fantastic.

This guitar was my first electric and I bought it after seeing the ESP custom model on the ESP website. It was way out of my price range but this is the next best thing. It is a beautiful guitar with great pickups and great sound, the inlays on the fingerboard are awesome. It is a big guitar and I had trouble finding a case to fit it but other than that it's perfect, definitely buy it!
