Have this guitar for about a month and this guitar is awesome. The looks, the feel it's great. I needed a second guitar to play on stage and this is definitely a guitar you can count on. The only thing is good luck with getting a gigbag or a case for it. I ended up using a cello gigbag for it, who cares!!! this guitar it's great. I got a dean noir xl mt and a sg epiphone and this one it's a grezt addition to my set up.
Great for playing metal, rock, prog, southern rock, and even bluesy stuff as well. Turning the neck pickup volume down to 0 makes the 3-way pickup selector a great kill switch.
I play a fairly diverse range of metal music...from Metallica and Pantera to nu-metal bands like System Of A Down and metalcore like Killswitch Engage or Avenged Sevenfold. I compare heavy guitar tones to guns: One could be machine-gun like, and the other could be like a cannon. This guitar is more of the cannon variety, but it still performs well in the lower strings. Soloing and slow power chord riffs both sound fantastic! All in all if you're looking for a great guitar for metal, or if you like the bands I listed, or if you just want a guitar that can rock the house down, this one will definitely do the job!
i got this guitar today and i love it. although it is difficult to play sitting down, pulling off the power stance isn't too difficult, and it also looks better. i really like the neck also, because it's really fast. i think if you're looking for a good metal guitar this is a really great way to go.
I do not own this guitar but i have played one at a store a i found one and played it. it played great the pick ups are good but it could use some emgs its not really a guitar you could sit down with and play because of the v shape to it. but over all this guitar is the best. im going to try to buy it.
This is my first guitar and I am very pleased with it for the money. the pickups are great but could be better. and the action was ok when it came but one of the pickup screws was loose, but overall i am very satisfied with this guitar
i went to my local music store looking for a good metal guitar. i really wanted the ec 1000 but that was way out of my price range. i found this guitar in the back and at first i did not want to play it beacuse it is a v. i dont care for them. but after a looking at the guitars this store had i kept coming back to this guitar. so i said might as well play it. This guitar blew my mind. it plays fast and is great for solos and any other style you can play. after playing this guitar for about 30 minuets i had to get it. ive had it for a month and it is awesome. the only thing i dont like about it is it only has 3 controls. but i soon got over that with the amazing sound this thing can produce. it can hit pinch and natural harmonics like a dream. this guitar is as good as some that cost a few hundred more. for the price you can not go wrong. get it.
This guitar is great for just about everything. The LH-300's give great clean, sorta jazzy tones, but they can really scream! The Basswood body is very light, but not so light that you feel like you are playing with a toy. Quality of craftsmanship is unbeatable. If you're thinking about buying this guitar, buy it. It WILL meet your every demand. ESP has never let me down and they won't let you down!
I bought the left handed version and love it. I have a Gibson Flying V as well, and intended this as a back up, but I find myself turninhg to the V-200 more and more. Great guitar for the price and I like the longer neck.
I tried this guitar at a local shop while shopping around for another guitar. I played this while sitting down on a stool and found it a little awkward (but that's expected from a V guitar) but that was probably the only thing awkward about it. the neck was fast, the pickups were a treat for my ears, and the actual guitar was a beautiul sight to see. the only thing that stopped me from buying that guitar on spot was because i hadn't looked anywhere else
