Comments about ESP Viper 330 Electric Guitar:

Good for the Price, especially with black Friday discount. Small truss rod adjustmen was needed (as with any guitar shipped across the country would) intonation was spot on. Active Pickups are not bad, but not great. better than cheep passive pickups on most guitars in this price range. The finish is ok, but if you look closer you can see more texture to the paint than on nicer finishes.

If you get this for less than 300 U.S. then it is well worth it.

Comments about ESP Viper 330 Electric Guitar:

I had been looking at the ESP Viper 330 for a few years now and I'm glad I finally picked one up! With great weight distribution and a comfortable feel, this guitar seems like it can almost do it all.

With ESP branded pick ups and a crisp finish to match, you're going to be SURPRISED with the sounds that this thing can throw at you. The active pick ups are nice; but I would settle with Seymour Duncan Blackouts any day of the week (which I may do down the road).

PICK IT UP TODAY! THIS IS A GREAT PRICE!

Comments about ESP Viper 330 Electric Guitar:

It was too good a deal to resist and I wasn't disappointed. The tone is good and with a bit of fettling the neck will give a good action. I have it set up with fat strings as it will be my slide guitar but it could be a good lead.

Comments about ESP Viper 330 Electric Guitar:

This is pretty good sounding guitar! I was ready to be disappointed based on a few reviews that I read that said the tone was thin. The tone I get from these pickups are actually warmer and fatter than my other guitars with passive pickups. It's not a metal only guitar either, Santana riffs sound pretty good too.
The only reason I'm giving the review 3 stars is because what i received was a guitar that have obviously been played quite a bit. There were pick scratches all over, but a 2-hour buffing got rid of most of them. Too bad it doesn't come with a pick guard as I can't seem to find one. The strings were also shot and had to be replaced right away, and the battery for the pickup was nearly dead. Luckily, I paid a very low price, the action is near perfect, and the sound is pretty good. Overall it's a very good guitar and since it's a hassle to return, i've decided to just keep it. Nonetheless, Musician's Friend shouldn't send out used guitars as new. That's just not right.

Comments about ESP Viper 330 Electric Guitar:

The ESP Viper-330 was my Christmas present for 2012. I was excited to get it. Mainly I'm a modern Strat Man (Ibanez,Schecter,Jackson..etc), I wanted to mix it up a little and I've always wanted an ESP guitar. This fit the bill to a T. The guitar is of excellent quality, great sound, fast fret board & screaming pickups. If I had to list any cons it would be...the balance is a little off and it is a heavy guitar. Heavy is not necessarily bad but just a point to note if you are used to lighter guitars. Overall, I'm extremely happy with my purchase and will now have my sights on an ESP Strat. Thanks Musicians Friends, you have come through with flying colors...yet again!
