A Tele that integrates the best vintage features, modern refinements, and Fender craftsmanship.
What better choice to mark Fender's 60th anniversary than the guitar that started it all -- the American Telecaster. It was Fender's first production model and to this day is one of the world's most popular. This one has all the American Series features and more--alder body with the sharper '52-style body radius, parchment knobs and pickup covers, engraved 60th Anniversary parchment pickguard and neck plate, beautifully rolled fretboard edges, and a jewel headstock emblem. It is equipped with the Delta Tone System (hot bridge pickup and a no-load tone control) to give it extra bite. The 60th Anniversary Telecaster also comes with an ultra-deluxe commemorative case.

Just got myself one of these for my collection and I think this is a good deal for someone who wants to buy an American Tele. The alder body is light with good grain character. The neck is first rate Fender with perfect string spacing/height at the nut and the addition of the micro-tilt for adjusting action is quick and easy. The vintage pickups make this Tele sound like the more expensive '52 reissue. The case is beautiful on the inside but the silver outside is easily marred. A good balance between modern features and top shelf vintage tone. Plug this baby into a Fender Pro tube amp and be prepared to turn some heads at that next gig!
This is as close to an old tele as you will get. It plays like butter and has an incredible range of tones. It has a really clean bite and the distortion sounds like it came straight from hell. I was also lucky enough to get one of the first ones off of the line. It has a regular fender american series neckplate and the case has four nails put into the front. Fender has since sent me the real neckplate which will not go onto my guitar. The action is a little high from the factory but that is easilly taken care of with an allen wrench. If you have the money buy this guitar.
Today i tried this guitar ut it has a dimond in the headstock. It has a good fender twang on treble and a deep tone on rythm. It feels good (the neck) and plays well. It also is a cllectors item. I really want this guitar. I tried it on my crate xt and it sounded great but on a junior fender blue amp it was the best. i probably will sell my fender standard strat and ephiphone les paul and save money to get this and sell my 10 watt kustom amp and my crate 120 watt amp for the enogyuh money to buy the guitar and amp.
This guitar is a beauty, plays like a dream, and I have no complaints, except that fender makes it a bit overpriced just because it is the 60th anniversary. I'd go with an American Deluxe telecaster for the same quality, but if you feel this anniversary is special enough to spend a load of cash, it is a really nice guitar to spend it on.
Just got mine the other day, but this is quite possibly the nicest telecaster I have every played. I am a huge telecaster fan and and just love the way this one plays. In every aspect this is an amazing model, every detail in perfect. This Guitar is extremely versatile, as I play many styles of music and this guitar does it all!! It sounds amazing through my deluxe reverb and my ampeg v4. This guitar is truly outstanding. If you are even thinking about buying this instrument... DO IT, you will mot regret it.
I just bought this baby a few days ago and what a beautiful guitar to look at. I play mainly rock along the lines of the chili peppers and this does the job great. Very smooth neck makes easy playabilty and this thing has one of the best tones ive heard from a guitar. No regrets and recommended.
First time Playing a Tele. The 60th Anniversary Tele is the one you want to own. Great action, with spectacular tones. sounds great through my 1978 Fender Bassman. Cratfmanship is excellent and wood grain looks vintage. Sounds so gooooood! I'll only play it plain with no effects. I'm a fan.
Received this guitar yesterday and it blew me away. The fit and finish is astounding. The only reason I did not give it all tens is the pickup switch knob fell off and refuses to stay on. The Delta-tone system gives you a depth of tone and fatness I have never heard in any other guitar. Playability is head and shoulders above my other 2 guitars, (a squier fat strat and a marley epiphone, both very nice axes.)I am playing thru an inexpensive drive 30 watt amp with only a little reverb added.
I've owned many epic guitars and and some crap but there's nothing better than a new Fender anything (US made). I've owned a few cheapo squires, mex, china, jap, tele, and strat but never hung on to themvery long. there not bad until you have the real deal in your hands. This guitar out of the box was a real treat and well made, "a keeper". A few good tugs on the strings and it played well and stayed in tune. the intoanation is perfect! I always enjoy the fine quality that fender puts in their products. Pluged it in amp (deluxe reverb) and I favored the forward pickup the most, but all positions caught my ear with great tone and thickness that this tele offers. The pickups are just fine, went through a direct box to a mixer and WOW quiet as can be, so this will work well for recording, I just love the tone on this, so the EMG pick-ups won't be needed. The 60 year anniversary neck plate, head button and rhine-stone inlay are just a way to remind a flip flop buyer that this axe will go up in value when they stop making them. The case is really cool and super plush inside, but if your going to lug it around doing gig's I'd buy a black case and keep the sliver case wrapped up, it looks like it will scratch real easy, it also came with a cool fender strap and a heavy duty guitar cord, a cord chart, and neck wrench, whammy bar? and a cleaning cloth. I give this a "10", plus I took advatage of musicians friend $100 dollar off any purchase they ran for a week, what a deal! Anyone will love this great playing and sounding Fender US telecaster.
Out of the box the action is a little high but other than that it plays very nice. The fit and finish is typical Fender its nice but could be a little nicer I am curious of what kind of stone they put on the headstock of their diamond anniversary. The case is cool looking but it seems kind of cheap. Overall I like this guitar and would recommend it to any one who collects Fenders or wants a very cool version of the tele.
