I've had this guitar for about a year and I think it's better than the two Fenders I have owned before. I had a 1976 Strat and I have a 1976 Tele and this guitar more than takes their place. I like the one volume and one tone controls. It's good but, I don't think I will be buying Fender again because the Gretsch Country Classic I just bought is now my main guitar. For the money this is the Strat to buy though.
Bought this as my 'Rock/Metal' guitar. The action is very sweet and the neck is very fast. I had to do a little bit of a set-up on it and tweak the neck, but now it's right on. The 5 way switch is very noisy when you switch pickup config's but my plan is to install 2 noiseless pickups and some new pots. Overall, I am happy with it. I switched from a Strat to a Les Paul about 6 years ago and now, after playing the big block, it seems just like old times.
