I bought this guitar after hearing the quality of the sound through an amp. It sounds like a nylon string guitar, not an electric guitar.I use it when I know I will need lots of volume, but I don't know what kind of PA to expect. It's much easier to run a sound check with this guitar than with my regular flamenco guitar and a mic. I use it with when I have about 30 seconds to get on stage, set up and play.Depending on your amp, you can get a very natural sound by tweaking the on board EQ. The built-in tuner saves a lot of time and even tunes all strings when you use a capo on any fret! THAT'S nice when you're on stage. This model also has a standard-width classical neck, which really makes things easier for classical and flamenco techniques.I enjoy practicing on this guitar because it has a decent accoustic sound when it's not plugged in and the neck plays well. Fender designed a good product and used decent woods in spite of the low price. Not a handmade guitar, maybe not the best wood, but you'd have to pay 10 times as much before you'd notice the difference. A very good deal at this price.
