Great guitar
I got this guitar Christmas 2010. I had had a few years in between first learning when I was younger. It was supposed to be a good quality learners guitar but soon found out I had received a truly great guitar. Guys that play in the church band my dad plays in have played it and it actually plays/sounds better than the upper end takamine's in higher price range. I have worked on it by changing out the bridge piece which was cheap and simple and really changed nothing. Of course, the truss rod will have to be dialed to adjust the action. I use usually D'addario EXP's or Elixirs and have found it sounds great. A friend of mine just got this same guitar but he has no clue what he is doing or what he has and I found after I looked that mine was much better quality. I have the one with the Fishman pre-amp system and the wood in the neck is much better, so I am assuming this is a newer model. It sounds great and is typical of an acoustic on fretting. For the price range, this is definitley the best guitar for your money and unless I was going to buy a Martin or a Gibson acoustic, this definitley puts any other brand at a similar price in second place. I also am missing the dot on the third fret but I actually like it because it is unique. I play it mostly every day and am always blown away at the tone and it never comes out of tune.

I got this guitar for Christmas 2 years ago, and It has no problems whatsoever. It's volume is great, and I love it! I would, however, recomend replacing the strings as soon as you get it. Also, it has a spot for a strap, so make sure you buy one if you want one. I hope this helps.

Very good guitar

This guitar sounds very nice. Only one flaw, there is no dot on the third fret!! Beats me where it went! The guitar still plays great without it.

Great budget/beginner guitar

I used to play guitar extensively but haven't played regularly in over 7 years. I sold my guitars off a couple years ago and was looking for something on a budget to get back into playing again. I found the CD-60CE and have been quite satisfied so far. Out of the box the setup was near perfect. No adjustments needed on the neck. The sound is okay. Its not stellar, but its not horrible either. In the past, I had an $800 Alvarez that sounded worse. The action is decent, but could probably be lowered by sanding the saddle down. The included hard-shell case is great and was what sold me on the CD-60CE over some other similarly priced guitars.

This guitar is a pretty good guitar. This was my first guitar and I thought it was amazing when i got it. But since then i have played better guitars... but needless to say this is the best acoustic electric you will find for this price range. Great first guitar or intermediate guitar. I still use mine.

I purchased this guitar as my first full size acoustic and not a day has gone by that i have regreted it. This is the best buy you will find for the money. Comes with good a good name good strings, harshell case and all the elctronics built in with a tuner. Action is beautiful and sound quality is great and plugged in is just as good. Had to sand down the saddle a little to lower the strings for my personal preferance but other than that its a great guitar. Ive played it live and i play it at home daily. Buy it! you wont regret it!

I bought this at my local guitar shop about 3 months ago. I have played this guitar at many shows at a few local bars. The sound that comes out of this guitar is awsome. When plug into the p.a. system it sounds even better. I would recommend anybody to buy this guitar.

Great Guitar For The Price

By KrankDat

I got this guitar a few weeks ago for playing chords and stuff, and I can't believe that this guitar has extremely low action... I got it and it was setup nicely, the only problem was that is had a dead note on the 7th fret on the high E string. Not a problem, just take a piece of super fine sandpaper and sand down the fret a little. This fixed my problem, and the action was smooth and there was no more dead note! My only complaint is the pickup. I hate it! It sounds really tinny to my ears. I will probably pick-up a new pickup next week. Haha, gutiar joke!

WOW!!

By Ryanman-2ot2G

I have had this guitar for about 2 weeks (Christmas present from the wife) and I am nothing but impressed. My wife has a Martin and I find her playing this one more than the Martin. She loves the action and the sound. I used to play and have recently gotten back into it. If my nephew continues to take lessons I am going to by him the same model without the pickup. I would buy another.

Great for the money

By Glen-5_hiD

from Arkansas

I bought this guitar a few months ago after it was recommended to me by a friend that gives lessons and by the salesman at my local music store. It has not dissapointed. It's got a great sound. I've played music for years, but I'm just learning guitar, so I had the salesman play it next to several other guitars including comparably priced and very expensive high end guitars. Yes, there were some that had better tone, but at several hundred dollars more. It sounds good plugged in too. If you're looking for a guitar in this price range, you won't go wrong here.

Fender CD60CE Is Great

By Gergsman

from Toronto, ONT

This is an excellent guitar for the price (approx $200 CDN). It came with a free hard-case. I played many years ago, sold everything, and wanted back in with a solid, inexpensive, great-sounding guitar and this fit the bill! Have used with an amp and sounds decent enough, but great a rich sound without. Was originally looking for an Epiphone but one look at mine (got the Black one) and I was done!
