The Fender Deluxe Strat HSS is a hot rod of an electric guitar that is capable of a broad range of tones. Thank the guitar's 2 Tex-Mex single-coils and a bridge position Fat Strat humbucker with 5-way switching for its versatility. A late 60s "big" headstock and black knobs and pickguard give this Stratocaster a distinctive flare.

I have had this guitar since late June, and I'm impressed. I was a bit dissapionted with the pickups, but everything else is simply flawless. I bought this guitar while I was very big into classic rock, but since mide July my style of playing has changed drastically, and now I play Metal. The transition was easy with the humbucker. As I said before, I was a tad dissapointed with the pickups, so I had mine equipped with EMG's I bought about a year ago and it's awesome, everything from hot blues to crushing Black Metal, this guitar can do it all. I wouldn't recommend this guitar, or any other strat, to a hardcore metal player, but if your style of music varies greatly, this guitar is for you. With the right parts(EMGs, Floyd Rose, Volume boost), you can actually make this guitar more metal than most other stock guitars out there.

Here's the deal, you're better off with a normal Fat Strat. The Tex-Mex pickups are way too country-blues-ish. If you want a good twang sound buy a telecaster. As for the humbucker...all Fender humbuckers sound cheap and this one is no different. The only nice thing about this one is it has a big headstock, which is awesome!

I bought this guitar because I liked the white on black, and it turns out, this is one great guitar!
I love this guitar! This was my first fender, and currently my only guitar. I love the fat sound you get from the humbucker, especially with the distortion sounds. I love the clean, stringy sounds with the bridge and neck singles for my clean chanel. The only thing I could say is I would prefer a hardtail option because I never use my trem because sometimes the clean sounds are a tiny bit wavey with the bucker. Also, a few more colors couldn't hurt, even though I love mine in Pewter. Other then that, no complaints! Can't beat it for the money, would recommend to anyone who wants an all out rockin' guitar!!
This guitar will blow your mind it is so bad. The tuners need to be replaced all the time, the guitar cant play rock or metal.
I've had mine for 2 months... the longer I play it, the better it gets. Decent versatility from the pickups, quick, clean fretboard. I range from hot blues to grungy metal, and it keeps up beautifully. Sure, maybe the American version would sound a bit better, dunno. Given the price difference, I wouldn't even consider checking. Someday, I might replace the pickups, but I feel no hurry whatever.
I barely could buy this guitar when I found it on my habit store. It had been there for years, and one day it suddenly priced-dropped!!! I could not resist. Oh my!!! This is the guitar I always dreamed with. Killer looking, versatile sound and comfortable for playing. Its sound can give you enough power to play anything you have in mind. If you ever find it somewhere, buy it. If you're into Fender you won't regret this guitar.
Im 15 and play in a pop-punk band and i was in need of a new guitar. I got this strat for xmas and ever since, it has been amazing... i have the black with white pickups and it looks sick!! The pickups are pretty good, but i think i might change the pickups to a seymour duncan JB.... THIS GUITAR IS AWESOME....... DO NOT THINK TWICE ABOUT GETTING THIS!!!!!!!
this was my brother's first guitar, but he soon quit playing and gave it to me. all i can say is that this is an amazing guitar! the pick-ups are very divers from smooth lows to growling highs. the neck is also very smooth and quick macking shredding a breeze. no matter what style you play this guitar is worth checking out
I just got this baby today and haven't been able to put it down!!!! This guitar's feel is just absolutely awesome!!!! It's as if it's a puzzle piece that fits perfectly into ones hands. The tone is quite the Fender tone which is unarguably awesome!!!Besides that it is MIM, with the Tex-Mex pick ups, it actually sounds a bit nicer than the US of A strats. The price is priced to sell, and at this price, it's definitely worth every hard earn cent!!!
I have had this guitar for about six months now, and overall, I am very impressed. First off, it stays in tune okay, but if you like to tune it in many different tunings, this is not for you, as the tremolo springs keep it in standard tuning. Next, the pickups are impressive, but not flattering. I would prefer to have Two EMG's but these do the job. Last, the neck is very impressive, but they could have given me a real maple fretboard, instead of the skunky, washed up rosewood one. Overall, I like it, but the features could be better.
First off. The color combinations are now correct the person in a previous review (about 4 review down) must have the 2007 version where the pickguard/pickup combinations are slightly different. But there is still a slight difference. The fender logo colors on the headstock are reversed. It's written in gold outlined in black rather than vice versa like in the photos provided. But anyways about the guitar. Positives: very smooth neck, artic white and black plastic parts make a great look, good paint job, good overall feel, had to tighten trem of course. . Negatives: Tex Mex pickups are terrible, vintage tuners/machineheads work but are lame. I replaced the bridge with a fender atomic humbucker that are in the highway one hss strats. Highly recommend doing that. Overall: decent mex strat.
