I bought this guitar as my first electric after playing acoustic for 4 years. The tone is great. I love the extra boost from the circuit. I can really mix up my tone. I'm gonna pop a seymour duncan bucker in the bridge spot, and we'll see what happens. The only problem I have is a little bit of fret buzz.
I bought this guitar about 3 years ago and I haven't had one problem. This is definitely worth the money! It has such good tone. It can be trebly or deep. You can play jazz, country, or metal. It's a very well made guitar. I give it 2 thumbs up!
This guitar was a smart choice.First off the neck plays very well and the body comfortable.Tone quality, Well even though the pick-ups are okay I will switch them out with:Bridge: Hot Rails Humbucker (single coil shape)Mid-Bridge: DiMarzio Blues Pick-upBridge: -Lace Sensor Pick-up-The finish. Like all guitars the finish is much nicer then the picture. I got blizzard pearl, Wow. It's like a goldish sand color, gorgeous. All in All this is a great value and many agree with me that Fender is makes this guitar the best out of all the guitars in the price range.
I just love this guitar. It plays great, and it sounds even better. The boosts are amazing. The black with pearl pickguard and maple neck look stunning. It covers all the types of music I play - I love AC/DC and it can have a really hot sound, or on some Pink Floyd it can have a great light tone. Just an extremely versatile guitar. Only downfall is that black smudges easily... THAT'S IT!
SHORT & SIMPLE, I finally found the strat I have been after all of my life. FENDER has really got it right now! I got the yellow on, and I can't stop playing her. Fantastic neck! If you want that classic single coil sound. This baby kills!Nothing better 4 the price! 8>)
I own a Lonestar Strat, a Lite Ash Strat, a Strat Plus (89) and now this Powerhouse Strat. This feels like a more expensive guitar first off. Neck work is great and so is the shaping of the body. The thing is, when you plug this in and hit the boost knob, BAM!!! Its ALLL GRRAAAVY BABY!!!! Nothing like it. Having that control at the touch of a knob is way hot. Now some purists out there will say this and that (like where its made and all that). But let me tell you this: Go pick one up and plug it in!!!! This guitar won't dissappoint you.
This Strat is an outstanding value. Mine is well assembled, with no cosmetic or mechanical blemishes. The neck finish is perfect for me, and I love the range of sounds that are available using the boost control. I can get beautiful, classic neck pickup sounds, and some dangerous distortion toward the bridge with the boost on "10". Fun! This equals or surpasses many of the U.S. Strats that I've seen.
I bought this a few years ago mostly on impulse and haven't really picked it up until recently. I do mostly recording stuff using the Rockman, which is great if you can get your hands on one. Anyways my other guitar I was using was producing lots of noise and feedback so I decided to give my Strat a try. The "power" makes a world of difference. Virtually no feedback, and it just plays and sounds great. I would definately reccomend picking one up if you want a versatile guitar.
The pickups with the mid boost make this guitar extremely versatile. Out of the box it was set up so sweet that I played it for five hours non stop the first time I laid hands on it. I don't believe there is another guitar out there with this quality to price ratio and I have looked hard. Easily the best money I've spent on a guitar in a long time.
This is the best mexican strat. It has great pickups on it that give a good humbucking sound. If you are looking for a good mexican strat, better than the standard, this is the one.
