OVERVIEW

A re-creation of one of Elvis' most iconic instruments.

Fender hails the King of Rock ˜n™ Roll and transports you back to 1967 with the introduction of the Elvis Kingman acoustic guitar-a sharp looking, rich-sounding, hip-swaying evocation of the freewheeling Fender acoustic that Elvis Presley wielded with consummate cool in ™67 cinematic romp Clambake.

In addition to honoring the King, the Elvis Kingman dreadnought also recreates Fender' famous mid-™60s œWildwood finish, in which living beech trees that provided the backs and sides of the unusual instruments were dyed in several elegantly striking colors before being harvested.

Highly distinctive features include Presley' signature on the front of the Wildwood-style headstock, solid spruce top with scalloped X bracing for full and resonant tone, laminated Wildwood-style back and sides, Ivoroid neck and body binding, stylish dual checkerboard rosette, maple neck, 20-fret rosewood fingerboard with block position inlays and bone nut, Fender œViking rosewood bridge with cream-colored pins and compensated bone saddle, chrome hardware and gloss neck and body finish.!

FEATURES
  • Large Fender headstock logo
  • Wildwood back and sides
  • Bone nut and saddle
  • Dual checkerboard rosettes

Comments about Fender Elvis Presley Kingman Clambake Acoustic Guitar:

I won't lie...I chose this guitar for two reasons: The price, and the fact that it was a replica Elvis Presley guitar. I am a huge Elvis fan so that was a selling point. I sold my electric guitar because I haven't been in a band for 10 years and wanted to pick up an acoustic to play and make in-house recordings. Didn't really know what to expect but was very happy upon pulling it out of the box and playing it. The finish on the guitar looks amazing. The back and sides are a very natural wood grain. Everyone I have shown it to says it looks great. And the sound is a very rich and vibrant sound. It has good play up and down the neck as well. Fender is putting out some great instruments at a very reasonable price. You will be happy with this one, especially if you don't want to spend a fortune to have a great sounding acoustic.

Comments about Fender Elvis Presley Kingman Clambake Acoustic Guitar:

Bought on a whim. Very light, like a vintage guitar that has aired out over time. Great tone, maybe not as complex as some solid wood back/sides, but better than my Taylor 414ce rosewood and some Takamine's which speaks volumes about it's tone, very full and loud. Very nice looking, bound fret board, block inlays, nice rosette, claims it has a bone nut and saddle ..doubt this, doesn't look like it. The wildwood (think it is beaqch) isn't the prettiest wood ever, thats for sure but the spuce top and front is gorgeous. Full C shape neck.
I was so impressed that I bought the Kingman CDE with a cutaway and Fishman electronics and a built in tuner. Also a great guitar!
This must be discontinued as the markdown off a already low price suggests this. A great beginner/intermediate guitar. I would say higher but doesn't play high up the neck that great.
Has got to be the best bang for the buck, doubt there is a better guitar out there for this price!
oh and Elvis signed it..lol. who cares..

Comments about Fender Elvis Presley Kingman Clambake Acoustic Guitar:

Yes, I am a big Elvis fan and was greatly inspired by his music. But let's forget about that for a minute. I'm going to review this guitar as just a guitar.

This guitar is gorgeous. The contrasting wood grain and finish are top shelf. It plays like a dream, which I did not expect. This instrument is incredibly well-made and it astounded me how good it feels and sounds. The headstock is very cool and the Fender tuners are sweet. The sound is lush and full, with more volume and presence that other good quality acoustics I own. Playing this guitar is like slathering melting butter onto soft bread. OH. YES.

The fact that it's an 'Elvis' guitar just adds to the brilliance of this purchase. What a value. I feel that this guitar is worth far more than what I paid.

I don't need to buy another acoustic after this. Not a cheap or gimmick guitar. It's actually the best value I've ever found in my music career.

Love it impressed with looks feel and sound right out of the box.
I never buy without playing first, but did not find any in nearby shops.
So I took a chance and glad I did! I'm not a big Elvis fan but I love all that this guitar represents. A nice collector's piece to honor his career in music and film. So glad I took a chance and bought it.

This is a lot of guitar for the price. Great sound, No cutaway, Maple neck, Block inlays, Fender head stock, Solid top. Exactly what I was looking for at a great price. The Elvis signature did not sway me one way or the other in my decision to purchase this guitar. The finish is flawless.

Comments about Fender Elvis Presley Kingman Clambake Acoustic Guitar:

I'm an Elvis fan too. This guitar has the looks, but is it just a pretty face? No. It's a very easy guitar to play. Very nice feel to the neck. After a string change, no adjustments needed. I played it at a gig once with a Fishman soundhole pickup. It was OK, but not what I'm used to hearing with my Martin 000-16 with Fishman pickup. That's comparing apples to oranges, isn't it? With a professionally installed, under saddle pickup, this guitar just might sound great. I keep it handy in my music room for practice, learning something new, etc. I think it's worth the money.

I picked one up while they were being closed out. So glad I did. This is an excellent guitar, judged by any standards. I'm guessing it didn't sell well because it seems gimmicky. With the name "Clambake", the cheesy Elvis "signature", and that 6 on a side headstock, I'm sure many people assumed it was just a novelty. I did. I have dozens of guitars and just bought this cheap as an amusing wall hanging. But this is no wall hanging. It's a great guitar. Very well built, rigid neck with nice looking inlays and binding, nice sounding solid top, and of course that unique headstock. If you can still find one of these, buy it!
