    Fender

A re-creation of one of Elvis' most iconic instruments.

Fender hails the King of Rock ‘n’ Roll and transports you back to 1967 with the introduction of the Elvis Kingman acoustic guitar-a sharp looking, rich-sounding, hip-swaying evocation of the freewheeling Fender acoustic that Elvis Presley wielded with consummate cool in ’67 cinematic romp Clambake.

In addition to honoring the King, the Elvis Kingman dreadnought also recreates Fender’s famous mid-’60s “Wildwood” finish, in which living beech trees that provided the backs and sides of the unusual instruments were dyed in several elegantly striking colors before being harvested.

Highly distinctive features include Presley’s signature on the front of the Wildwood-style headstock, solid spruce top with scalloped X bracing for full and resonant tone, laminated Wildwood-style back and sides, Ivoroid neck and body binding, stylish dual checkerboard rosette, maple neck, 20-fret rosewood fingerboard with block position inlays and bone nut, Fender “Viking” rosewood bridge with cream-colored pins and compensated bone saddle, chrome hardware and gloss neck and body finish.!

    Features

    • Large Fender headstock logo
    • Wildwood back and sides
    • Bone nut and saddle
    • Dual checkerboard rosettes
    • Three ply gold pickguard

The spirit of the King lives on. Order today.

Comments about Fender Elvis Presley Kingman Clambake Acoustic Guitar:

I bought this guitar on sale for an additional practice guitar. It was much better than I expected. The finish was flawless and the action was not too shabby. I always lower the action on my guitars for ease of playing, which i did on this instrument. The intonation is good, and it has a very nice sound. It looks good, especially with the neck inlays, which are not usually found on a Fender, and plays good. It stays in tune.

Comments about Fender Elvis Presley Kingman Clambake Acoustic Guitar:

Considering some of the comments, I was quite impressed. Of course this is based on the clearence price I paid for it. But it is everything I would expect in a better quality guitar. Especially like the wild wood appearance.

Comments about Fender Elvis Presley Kingman Clambake Acoustic Guitar:

I picked one up while they were being closed out. So glad I did. This is an excellent guitar, judged by any standards. I'm guessing it didn't sell well because it seems gimmicky. With the name "Clambake", the cheesy Elvis "signature", and that 6 on a side headstock, I'm sure many people assumed it was just a novelty. I did. I have dozens of guitars and just bought this cheap as an amusing wall hanging. But this is no wall hanging. It's a great guitar. Very well built, rigid neck with nice looking inlays and binding, nice sounding solid top, and of course that unique headstock. If you can still find one of these, buy it!

Comments about Fender Elvis Presley Kingman Clambake Acoustic Guitar:

It is a very sharp and classic design. Nice details. The sound for me is great, also replaced strings as others suggested. I am a novice and always wanted a acoustic to practice and learn on. With the price, design and feel this is beyond perfect.

This guitar is a great deal for the money! When I received it I immediately shaved the bridge and adjusted the neck, now it plays very easy & stays in tune as well as any of my other Fenders. "Thanks! to Musicians Friend for making this available."

Comments about Fender Elvis Presley Kingman Clambake Acoustic Guitar:

I expected this to be a middle of the road instrument, and was pleasantly surprised to find the quality was really good. There are no cons to this instrument. It doesn't have a pickup, but I knew this when I purchased it. Really a great instrument and the sound matches my $2000.00 Gibson.

What a Beauty!... The Guitar looks better in person than in the pictures. I had to adjust the neck on mine, as I like the action very low... But I've done nothing other than adjust the neck. I haven't altered the nut or bridge, and I now have the action as low as on my electrics. The volume is standard, not really loud, but fine. Since it's a 'Wildwood' model, each guitar will look different.
My brother's is a little darker than mine, for example. The quality on the build is EXCELLENT!... and nice as I've ever seen. Not a flaw anywhere in construction or paint.
