Solid spruce top, solid rosewood back, fantastic price!
With the new GA-45SCE Grand Auditorium Acoustic-Electric guitar, Fender, has once again pushed the envelope, raising the expectations of what a great guitar should be. Even the most discerning guitarists will be impressed.
Normally, you have to go to a much higher-priced instrument to find a solid spruce soundboard -- the pivotal feature for professional-sounding acoustic guitars. The GA-45SCE features the Fender Fishman Classic 4/ACLR dual pickup system with active onboard preamp featuring volume, bass, mid, treble, and mid sweep controls. A solid rosewood back and rosewood sides provide luxurious look and feel. This fine guitar incorporates numerous Fender-designed features -- like a beautiful, acoustically sensitive body shape, perfect-intonation bridge design, and a state-of-the-art bracing scheme. A dovetailed neck joint, abalone rosettes, and tortoiseshell binding combine with the new low-mass bridge design and Grover tuners for playability, aesthetic beauty, and fantastic tone at a great price.

I have owned this guitar for almost two years. It is just excellent! Sounds great, looks great and plays great too! My model has a built in tuner as well. I notice some of these models don't have the tuner. I got lucky I guess. Fishman Classic 4T...the T stands for tuner. Fender had this guitar all done up for me as it replaced the acoustic model that I returned as it had a problem. Thank-you Fender...this is one sweet guitar. Buy on now as I noticed the price creeping upwards...lol and rightly so!
I play in the praise band at our church. Even with other "high end" intsruments on the stage, the Fender GA-45SCE gets the nod. This acoustic has great quality sound and an excellent fishman pick-up. The only problem I encountered is the high action, which is tough if you try to pick a little lead on the upper end of the neck. Not to worry, I took it back to the store, and they adjusted it for me. Several of my friends own Martins and Taylors. The Fender beats the socks off of these guitars...and at half the price.
I went to several local shops with 2 grand in my pocket with every intention of walking out of one of them with a Taylor. I couldn't count the number of Taks, Taylors, Martins, and Blueridges I played. I kept going back to this guitar, both plugged in and unplugged. I never looked at a price tag, just played them and now that I've ordered the Fender, I have no regrets and can't wait to get it back in my hands. Tone = beautiful Comfort = perfect Features = equal to the higher priced guitars out there. My best friend is selling his Taylor 314CE and replacing it with a GA45SCE...that should say enough.
Fast, smooooth, beautiful tones. I have owned this guitar for two months and I can't stop playing it.Beautiful instrument. Can't beat the price.
Even if you were to pay double the MSRP, you wouldn't be let down. I've had this guitar for years and haven't come across another acoustic that I'd rather play instead. Beautiful finish and an unmatchable sound. Great buy.
I've had this GA for about 2 years now. I play it out twice a week and it continues to play and sound great. I now run it through a chorus pedal, WOW, sounds awesome! I rate it with all 9's because there is always room for improvement. Definitely a good invesment.
My father bought me a guitar for a fathers day gift and he told me I had to go pick it up. When I got to the music shop, I opened the case and it was a Fender GA45SCE, not just your every day dreadnought guitar. I was truly impressed with the looks and the sound of this guitar. The quality of the wood, abalone rosettes and tortoiseshell binding makes this guitar beautiful. Not to mention the gold hardware and the black gloss plate on the head stock w/Fender written in rosette. The Fishman pre-amp is easily accessible an gives you more of what you want with no compromise with the sound dropping out on you when your plugged in. When it comes down to it, the sound is equal to or even better than any guitar that cost up to 5 grand! Before anyone buys a Taylor or any other high end guitar, check out the GA45SCE first, you'll regret it if you don't. And those who already have a GA45SCE, you know what I'm talking about. And YES, you can order it left handed too!
May I say the value on this thing is incredible while I was trying out guitars at the guitar center I played guitars that cost twice this much and didn't sound as good as this. Great attention to detail I love the tortoise shell binding. I have had this for 2 years and not one thing has gone wrong very good quality. Thank-you Fender!
Well, I was trying to get a Taylor 814ce that cost about 7 times more then this guitar. I can tell your that the quality, the sound, the feel and the way this guitar plays is just incredible. No Taylor 814ce for me guy, I am keeping this beauty for a long time. Thanks Fender.
I tried many guitars in three different music stores before buying this guitar. It shared the best sound with just a handful of premium top shelf guitars. for hundreds less and looks as good as it sounds.
The electronis are out of this world, and the neck is very smooth and fast. The binding and rosette are beutiful. It sounds awesome.
I bought this guitar several years ago and loved it until I had a serious accident that required me to use a shorter scale guitar with a narrower neck for awhile. The friend that I sold the guitar to moved to Hawaii and left it with me to ship to him when he gets settled. Little does he knwo that I will be sending him a check instead, because now that my hand is recovered, I remeber why I loved this guitar so much. In the meantime, I have been using my Martin OOO18 and my Gibson EC180, and they have nothing on this guitar despite their substantially bigger price tags. I still love them both, but I am really happy to have this guitar back. I am a professional acoustic guitar player- it's what I do, 3-5 nights a week for the last 25 years. trust me- this is an excellent acoustic guitar.
I tried them all, Martins, Taylors, Ibanez, Breedlove, then this Fender model, and it was love at first strum! I wanted a guitar that sounded excellent BEFORE plugging it in and when I put it thru an amp, I was floored. The mic sound is great and is realistic. It gets that great strumming sound you miss out on with a conventional pickup system. I love the look of the gold tuners and hardware and my guitar repairman took a look at it and said it was an excellent guitar. he said something about the bone bridge and neck system being well constructed. Can't wait to use this guitar on my next instrumental album. Far exceeds the value of the price here. The only suggestion for Fender is if it had a tuner built in, but that's a small thing! Thanks Fender for an excellent product.
I recently purchased the 45SCE, I had originally gone with the intention of purchasing a Takamine.I had reserched the web and was ready to go pick one out. After looking at a good variety of the Takamines I discovered the Fender and couldn't find any of the Taks that could come close to the sound and quality of the Fender unless you went up considerably in price I am very pleased with the Fender.
This Guitar plays and sounds like the big boy's.I love it.
This guitar amazed me when i bought it recently. When i plugged it in, it was almost identical to the sound i got unplugged. This guitar was worth every penny.
The look of the body is what turns me off. the sound quality is brilliant, and the tones I can get out of this guitar are worth alot more then what the retail price goes for.
Ok i play anything from praise music so acoustic metal and this guitar can do it all!! It sounds great! Keeps it's tune! And is just a great guitar! I'm really glad i got it!
I've owned this guitar for about 4 years now, and I must say it was one of the best investments I've made on any guitar - ever. This was the first guitar I ever bought with my own money and I don't regret any moment of it. The only thing that I found a little sub-par, but actually turned out for the better, was that after changing the strings a lot, the bridge pins broke after about a year and a half. That's all fine and dandy though because they come with plastic ones anyway - I suggest changing to ebony bridge pins as soon as you buy this guitar, the sound improves from the already amazing sound anyway! Other than that, the nut at the top isn't attached to the guitar like most, and I don't know if this is a flaw, but I like it a lot. The action is very smooth, sound is crisp, and in conjunction with my Crate amps and Boss pedals, it's a setup that I really love. If only it had a 2nd neck strap pin...
I've owned this guitar for about a year now, if notlonger. I bought it when the series was first released. And I have to say, this guitar has been good to me. Good sound, good price, hardware, the whole works. The only dissapointment I have with it, is that the bridge that comes with the acoustic is horrible and it's kinda uneven to where the itnernal pickup doesn't pick up my high G B and E strings. That's the only flaw though. When Fender bought Guild, I never imagined that they'd make the nicer Fender guitars model after Guilds like the GA45-SCE. Nice.
