Solid spruce top, solid rosewood back, fantastic price!
With the new GA-45SCE Grand Auditorium Acoustic-Electric guitar, Fender, has once again pushed the envelope, raising the expectations of what a great guitar should be. Even the most discerning guitarists will be impressed.
Normally, you have to go to a much higher-priced instrument to find a solid spruce soundboard -- the pivotal feature for professional-sounding acoustic guitars. The GA-45SCE features the Fender Fishman Classic 4/ACLR dual pickup system with active onboard preamp featuring volume, bass, mid, treble, and mid sweep controls. A solid rosewood back and rosewood sides provide luxurious look and feel. This fine guitar incorporates numerous Fender-designed features -- like a beautiful, acoustically sensitive body shape, perfect-intonation bridge design, and a state-of-the-art bracing scheme. A dovetailed neck joint, abalone rosettes, and tortoiseshell binding combine with the new low-mass bridge design and Grover tuners for playability, aesthetic beauty, and fantastic tone at a great price.

I have owned this guitar for almost two years. It is just excellent! Sounds great, looks great and plays great too! My model has a built in tuner as well. I notice some of these models don't have the tuner. I got lucky I guess. Fishman Classic 4T...the T stands for tuner. Fender had this guitar all done up for me as it replaced the acoustic model that I returned as it had a problem. Thank-you Fender...this is one sweet guitar. Buy on now as I noticed the price creeping upwards...lol and rightly so!
I bought this three months ago from MF and love it love it love it! I play it every single day. You can not spend LESS money and still get the beautiful woods tone. Awesome. Don't let yourself dismiss this because it's a Fender and not a Martin, or because it's made in China and not U.S. Best value of any guitar I've ever bought.
My father bought me a guitar for a fathers day gift and he told me I had to go pick it up. When I got to the music shop, I opened the case and it was a Fender GA45SCE, not just your every day dreadnought guitar. I was truly impressed with the looks and the sound of this guitar. The quality of the wood, abalone rosettes and tortoiseshell binding makes this guitar beautiful. Not to mention the gold hardware and the black gloss plate on the head stock w/Fender written in rosette. The Fishman pre-amp is easily accessible an gives you more of what you want with no compromise with the sound dropping out on you when your plugged in. When it comes down to it, the sound is equal to or even better than any guitar that cost up to 5 grand! Before anyone buys a Taylor or any other high end guitar, check out the GA45SCE first, you'll regret it if you don't. And those who already have a GA45SCE, you know what I'm talking about. And YES, you can order it left handed too!
I play in the praise band at our church. Even with other "high end" intsruments on the stage, the Fender GA-45SCE gets the nod. This acoustic has great quality sound and an excellent fishman pick-up. The only problem I encountered is the high action, which is tough if you try to pick a little lead on the upper end of the neck. Not to worry, I took it back to the store, and they adjusted it for me. Several of my friends own Martins and Taylors. The Fender beats the socks off of these guitars...and at half the price.
Even if you were to pay double the MSRP, you wouldn't be let down. I've had this guitar for years and haven't come across another acoustic that I'd rather play instead. Beautiful finish and an unmatchable sound. Great buy.
I bought this guitar several years ago and loved it until I had a serious accident that required me to use a shorter scale guitar with a narrower neck for awhile. The friend that I sold the guitar to moved to Hawaii and left it with me to ship to him when he gets settled. Little does he knwo that I will be sending him a check instead, because now that my hand is recovered, I remeber why I loved this guitar so much. In the meantime, I have been using my Martin OOO18 and my Gibson EC180, and they have nothing on this guitar despite their substantially bigger price tags. I still love them both, but I am really happy to have this guitar back. I am a professional acoustic guitar player- it's what I do, 3-5 nights a week for the last 25 years. trust me- this is an excellent acoustic guitar.
I've used this guitar to lead praise music and also to play in little gigs at cofee shops. It sounds great and plays very well for the amount you spend on this guitar! I would recomend it to anyone!
Ok i play anything from praise music so acoustic metal and this guitar can do it all!! It sounds great! Keeps it's tune! And is just a great guitar! I'm really glad i got it!
I went to several local shops with 2 grand in my pocket with every intention of walking out of one of them with a Taylor. I couldn't count the number of Taks, Taylors, Martins, and Blueridges I played. I kept going back to this guitar, both plugged in and unplugged. I never looked at a price tag, just played them and now that I've ordered the Fender, I have no regrets and can't wait to get it back in my hands. Tone = beautiful Comfort = perfect Features = equal to the higher priced guitars out there. My best friend is selling his Taylor 314CE and replacing it with a GA45SCE...that should say enough.
Great guitar, a single cutaway with a Solid top and really nice rosewood sides and back. Good pickup system easy to dial in a great tine. Extremely well made guitar, very good craftsmanship and a Taylor alternative in my opinion for a ton less. I wanted and played a lot of fine taylor guitars, they were all very nice but for five six times the price I can't justify it.
