Overall this guitar is a winner, everywhere I go people want to play it, it's a heavy guitar and the chrome on dark just looks ferocious in person.
If you've still got doubts, go try it out at a local music shop, I guarantee you will fall in love with it.
*sidenote: I intalled a bigsby with the Vibramate mounting kit, best thing you can do to this thing, I'm always getting completments on it.
*sidenote2: one other thing I'd like to mention, the action is amazingly low, no fret buzz or anything, play this guitar, I think you will really be impressed,
peace, love, siranora!
This is one of the most versatile guitars I have ever played.
Once you master the daunting array switches and knobs and spinny wheels your tonal range will really open up. The neck pick-up has a real bassy funk sound, when you open it up it kind of feels like a big warm fat guy walked in and embraces eveyone in the room with a bear hug.
As for the bridge, when you slap on the bass cut, this thing will SCREAM, but it never really feels like it's going out of control, feels like you're on a roller coaster, it's a thrilling, crazy experience, but you know you're safe as long as you stay on the track.
I would also like to take a second to bring up the vintage fender tuners, I hear a lot of people giving them beef, I however think they are fantastic. They always hold the string tight and in-tune, and I love how they keep the exposed end of the string tucked away and from scratching the paint or snagging on the inside of my case. justsayin'.
"flawless", paint job is nice and even(I got the Gunmetal red version before they yanked it off the market, suckersss ), chrome is shiny, controls and doo-dads are solid, I've had the guitar for a year and half and it holds up just fine, build quality is great for what you pay.
For what you're paying, you're really getting a phenomenal instrument here, it's solid, looks great, sounds great, you can't go wrong here!

I don't throw around "5's" easily. This really is a Jaguar that feels and sounds solid and tasty....just make sure you play one and dig the shorter 24" scale. I do cause I'm getting older....gout and arthritis makes the stretching more difficult than ever. Short scales can be played with ease but that missing inch and 3/4 does make the tension and sound less snappier.
Lots of unnecessary switches.....but you can turn down the rhythm circuit and use it for a kill switch and its all good. The neck is finished nicely....too bad they are just black (fingerprints galore every time I pick it up). Buts thats no excuse to diss the guitar. Its actually one of the really good Fenders. No hum at all, of course, and a good range of tonal options.
Good quality. Japanese Fenders are still the bomb if you don't want to pay the extra $400-500 for an American one. The Dragster pickups are very good quality humbuckers....didn't know they'd be so good. Really like 'em. No need to replace them.
Worth every dime. I played the Jaguar side by side with the other Jaguars in the store......clearly the best model unless you just have to have a tremolo. Honestly the vintage tremolos are so much poorer than a Floyd Rose that I can't imagine why you'd buy a vintage tremolo if you really use one often. I don't....so I'm thrilled with the fixed tailpiece. Wouldn't hesitate to pay this price.....its worth it if you want that shorter scale (which is most people's excuse for looking at a Jaguar).

Comments about Fender Jaguar HH Electric Guitar:
I love this guitar. I'm not a great musician, but I know what I like, and I like this. I'm into 90's grunge like Nirvana, and this brings me closer to that sound and era. It's so much fun to play. I think i prefer the shorter 24" scale!

Whatever you want to use this guitar for it will work great, I have played metal, jazz, blues, Latin, country, punk etc... the guitar literally does it all. You will need to order a specialty case, the guitar is about a inch longer than standard length.
The guitar is loaded, I have this guitar but when i ordered it, it had different color options that are no longer available. The guitar comes with good pickups, they are not hot pickups but their sound is crisp and clean. The switches may be confusing at first but it takes little time to get used to the setup. on the lower horn there are 3 switches the one closest to the end turns on and off the rythm (neck) pickup, the middle one controls the trebble (bridge) Pickup. And finally the last changes the pickups from Humbuckers to single coils! On the top horn is a switch that when in the on (up) position switches your controls to 2 wheels right below it. one volume and one tone. When this selection is on it turns on both pickups, you are not able to get the single coil tone in this mode. The best part of this is, when you need to make quick adjustments in your volume you can just switch between modes and have 2 different volume settings ready. Also if you turn down the upper one to no volume you just created a kill switch. I have played this guitar in many gigs through my local music store and every time I take it there I get many people coming up to me to talk about my guitar and how much they like it. I let a country/gospel guitarist borrow it and he could not put it down.
I have one problem with this guitar, the bridge is kind of cheap. Of all of the things on this guitar the one thing the cheeped out on was the bridge. You occasionally get a humming noise from the bridge as the string does not ride well in it. When I bought the guitar I had seen a few others who had this same problem. The tuning keys are great, although if you do not know how to string vintage style tuners I suggest that you go and find out how, otherwise you will go through many packs of strings trying to get it right. The Fretboard is perfect on my guitar, I cannot lower the action any more, the bridge wont go any lower! there is NO fret buzz, and the guitar is in tune all the way up the fret board.
Comments about Fender Jaguar HH Electric Guitar:
Always been drawn to the Jag shape but never wanted to pay for super high end models or a vintage jag. When they first introduced this model i IMMEDIATELY started saving. The controls were a bit strange at first, but now they're second nature. Once i set it up and got everything just the way i liked it, it was a dream! I've had it for a while now and it has NEVER failed me. I've never had a problem. It has a great feel to it and a great look.
The only downside to this guitar is the pickups. If you're going to buy this guitar then save up for a set of pups. I went with covered seymours to keep the look. Sounds TONS better! The circuit for the neck pickup sounds so warm and thick.
It's a great guitar. It's my main squeeze. I'll keep it till i die!
Comments about Fender Jaguar HH Electric Guitar:
I received a new Jaguar HH special for my last birthday and couldn't be happier. I have owned more than a dozen Fenders over the years and this has one of the best necks I have found! Very well made with attention to detail that matches or exceeds most other instruments in this price range. Plus...it looks way cool!
Comments about Fender Jaguar HH Electric Guitar:
WOW. I've always wanted a Jaguar because I love the looks and every time I ask about it in a guitar shop, I hear nothing but good things about it and how "it's been my main guitar for X years". I love this guitar. The stock dragster pickups aren't bad either, and it seems like they got better as I broke them in more. The neck by itself is great sounding clean but very warm, too warm for my style, and distorted it is just far too muddy. The bridge pickup is pretty hot, on clean it noticeably has more treble than the neck. Distorted,(usually through my Big Muff) the bridge pickup is impressive. It sounds great! But my favorite clean sound is the neck and the bridge combined. Both pickups on together make a beautiful clean sound, but it's a mud fest distorted. Now the rhythm channel. I don't see any purpose to it other than to roll the volume down and make a killswitch out of it. Even though it's a rhythm channel, I still feel it should have at Least a tiny bit of treble. There is no point in having a tone pot for the rhythm channel because even when it's all the way up, it sounds like the lead channel all the way down. Now all of that was just my personal opinion. I bought this guitar in person, and it is flawless. The build quality is amazing and it feels like heaven. There is one major flaw in this guitar and that is the Fender Adjust-o-matic bridge. They just straight up didn't make the grooves deep enough for the low E. I filed it down a little (cheap metal, didn't take much) and now it stays in, but I still ordered a Gotoh Tune-o-matic bridge to replace it. Eventually I will be replacing the stock pups for some DiMarzios, but overall great guitar.
Comments about Fender Jaguar HH Electric Guitar:
I saw this guitar and had to try it, I fell in love with the body, look, feel, etc.I played some David Gilmour and a bit ofblues riffs and it sounded like a tonal paradise that I had to put money down on it. Although the bending can be a problem (in which it is nearly impossible, nothing a new bridge won't fix)As soon as I get this though. I'm going to going to change the bridge to a Bigsby and get that tremo;o effect that I need. All in all, it's a damn good guitar
Comments about Fender Jaguar HH Electric Guitar:
This guitar was given to me. It is a very special gift. It plays exactly like it is supposed to and has a plethora of sounds. It looks sharps and sounds awesome! The down side to the guitar is that it is impossible to find an affordable, quality case for it. The first one, a Roadrunner, I had feel apart in a week. I returned it and had to order the Fender Jazzmaster case from Musicians Friend. Case issues aside, the guitar will be my main guitar from here on out.
Comments about Fender Jaguar HH Electric Guitar:
I got this guitar summer of 07, and I am very pleased. This jag is great, I use it mostly in a studio setting to record various styles of music, and it always sounds good. Most of time I am using it to add parts to a clients song, including rhythms, leads, solos, everything. This and a tele are my two main guitars while working in the studio and the combo works perfectly for me. About a year after I bought I was having trouble with the "bottom" circuit. No matter what combination of selectors I had the sound was very quiet. I took it to the music store I bought it from, a fender repair shop, and they told me I did not know how to use the electronics. I knew that I was not stupid and it was not working correctly, so I pulled out the selectors resoldered the wires myself and it works perfectly. The only thing that I would say I do not like about this guitar is that when you roll the volume knob down it kills the tone. I am no guitar tech so I have no idea why, but it is really not that big of a deal, maybe there is an easy fix out there. Other than that the look and feel of this guitar are amazing. The tone can go from super bright, to warm and thick no problem. Like others have said the neck and fretboard are smooth! Love it, on the rare occasions I have played a gig with it I always get compliments. The value of this guitar is unbeatable.
