Thurston Moore and Lee Ranaldo. Jazzmaster guitars slung across seminal shoulders. In the hands of both men, the sound of Sonic Youth is the sound of that guitar used as part paintbrush and part cluster bomb. If anybody ought to have a signature Fender Jazzmaster electric guitar, it's those two guys.
Special features of the Lee Ranaldo Jazzmaster include two Fender Wide Range humbucking pickups re-voiced to original vintage spec, black anodized pickguard, American Vintage Jazzmaster tremolo with Mustang bridge and tremolo lock button, single master volume control, and a Sapphire Blue Transparent satin nitrocellulose lacquer finish and black-painted headstock, plus a Sonic Youth 'zine and sticker sheet.
