Comments about Fender Limited Edition American Standard Rosewood Neck Ash Telecaster:

The all rosewood neck was the reason I ordered this tele, and I was not disappointed. The feel of of this neck is amazing. I have another custom made guitar with a solid rosewood neck (a strat style), but it doesn't have the soft, fluid feel that this one does. Fender has done a nice job with this one.

I do love the tone of this one. It is what I expected. I own two other telecasters: an American Deluxe with samarium cobalt noiseless and a MIM. Sonically this sits somewhere between the two. The Broadcaster pickup at the bridge has a thicker and more biting sound. The Twisted Tele in the neck has a nice, warm sound akin to a strat. I like having the no-load tone control, but the feel of it clicking to the off position will take some getting used to.

It is also a gorgeous looking guitar. From the pictures I expected it to appear lighter, with more wood grain showing through. In person, it is much darker. It sometimes looks more black, depending on lighting. The deep walnut stain goes nicely with the rosewood, much better than the photos suggest.

The Fender hard shell case looks a bit cheap these days, but hey - it's a case.

Comments about Fender Limited Edition American Standard Rosewood Neck Ash Telecaster:

This Telecaster has a very dark walnut stain, so much so, that it is very difficult to see the Ash body wood grain without very bright light.
I am a novice player, so my opinion on tone and feel is from a "green-horn". But it has a very nice, smooth feeling neck. And from what I can tell from my Mustang II, it has a very nice tone.
The intonation was perfect on all strings.. The string height at the nut was .020". The Relief was .011" at the 7th and 9th fret. The string height at the 17th fret was 4/64".
Wish I could play better so I could really hear how this Telecaster sounds.
      Someday.

Comments about Fender Limited Edition American Standard Rosewood Neck Ash Telecaster:

This guitar is beautiful, absolutely stunning. The rosewood neck is smooth and silky feeling, and the action on the one I received was perfect. The pickups are hot sounding - this thing is perfect for leads! On top of that the color scheme is absolutely cool looking. If you are wanting a top of the line telecaster this is it.

Comments about Fender Limited Edition American Standard Rosewood Neck Ash Telecaster:

Came to MF looking for the 16' Nashville Tele and found they were not available yet. So I went over budget and bought what I hope is a Tele that will retain its resale value better than the regular AmStd Tele. It is a VERY dark walnut stain on the Ash body. Wood grain is only visible in bright light. I like how the Rosewood grain follows from fret board into the head-stock. Rocksmith and Guitar Tricks are trying to help me learn how to play it and not just stare at its beauty.

Comments about Fender Limited Edition American Standard Rosewood Neck Ash Telecaster:

Really like the guitar. No problems at all. The pickups sound great. The body stain on mine is darker than the pictures...not a complaint, just an observation. The look of the guitar helps it look like it would be at home not only in a country group, but even something more sophisticated...but it can still rock.

Comments about Fender Limited Edition American Standard Rosewood Neck Ash Telecaster:

This is easily one of my favorite guitars, and I actually like it better than my American Deluxe Tele! The neck alone would be hard to duplicate, in feel, fret finish, speed, and softness. The pups and tone are wonderful and deliver utter satisfaction to the discerning Tele-player's ear. Pump this baby through tweed wrapped tubes, or any classic silver face and go to heaven. The walnut stain is very dark, and that may turn some away, because the grain isn't easily seen in normal lighting. But it's also kind of mysterious and very matched to its all rosewood neck, very Harrison-ish. Best of all, this ax seriously delivers in all fingering styles and is wickedly loving of leads. The setup was crazy perfect out of the box, and the whole feel is soft somehow. I bought mine Condition Level 2 and it should have been a Level 1 Mint, but I am the winner here, based on what I paid. Good luck on trying to find one now. If you do find one in any reasonable condition, you would be an idiot to not buy it. Sell other axes to get it, and you will not be disappointed at all. But good luck, they only made 100 worldwide, 50 for USA. I have not had a new ax make me want to play this much since my 2001 American Deluxe Strat in Aged Cherry Burst. This is my 6th Tele that I have kept, and I think it will possibly be my favorite. Did I mention its ash loveliness is barely 6 pounds? You could not go wrong with this. You will hate yourself if one comes in and you do not buy it.
