'70s vibe and a unique set of features including an H/S pickup combination.

Definitely not your average Stratocaster, the Pawn Shop '70s Strat Deluxe is one of the most unusual takes ever on the world's most archetypal electric guitar, with a pronounced 1970s style and vibe. For one-of-a-kind tonal versatility, its alder body houses a Telecaster single-coil neck pickup and a fearsome Enforcer humbucking bridge pickup with a smaller Wide Range chrome cover.

Other distinctive features include a "U"-shaped maple neck with 22 medium jumbo frets, 9.5" radius and "bullet" truss rod; four-ply white pearloid pickguard; three-way blade pickup switching and two Jazz Bass control knobs (master volume, master tone); '70s-style hard-tail Stratocaster bridge and vintage-style "F" tuners.

    Includes gig bag.

Comments about Fender Pawn Shop '70s Stratocaster Deluxe Electric Guitar:

I got this guitar in January 2013 so I've had it for over a year now, and I just can't gush about it enough! I've owned over 30 guitars in the past from Gibson, Fender, Ibanez, ESP, BC Rich, and more, but this guitar... It's really something special.

The tone is unbelievable. It's got a thundering bottom end that isn't the slightest bit muddy. At the same time, it's clarity and brightness are unparalleled, yet it does't have any of those shrill or ear-piercing overtones like some strats do. The pickups are just outstanding, they blow Seymour Duncans and DiMarzios out of the water by a long shot!

The action too... just wow. No fret buzz anywhere and it practically plays itself! The only thing I changed was the bridge height adjustment screws, cause every MiM Fender comes with ones that are too high and poke your hand when you palm mute. Considering this cost 5$ and 5 minutes of time to replace, I'm not going to nit-pick and hold this against fender since literally EVERYTHING else about this guitar is perfect.

After being well out of my honeymoon phase with this guitar, I still get all excited and giddy when I look at it or think about it. Replace the bridge height adjustment screws with the USA ones (they're shorter and a harder metal) and you'll have a friend that will inspire you for life!

Comments about Fender Pawn Shop '70s Stratocaster Deluxe Electric Guitar:

I have long avoided strats because of the location of the controls-- the top one being too close to the strings for me-- but this Pawn Shop Strat got it right w/ controls placed more like a Telecaster, lower and further back. My American HH Tele is my long time favorite. I also really like the very comfortable sculpted body of this Pawn Shop, and mine is gorgeous gloss black w/ white perlite pick guard and maple neck. Set-up was pretty good right out of the box, but slight buzz at 1st/2nd fret on small E and B strings easily corrected by a slight string height adjustment followed by slight truss rod adjustment. This neck is really fast, maybe even faster than my HH Tele, but shaped differently, and now I really don't know which I prefer as they're both excellent, just different. If this Pawn Shop Strat got lost, stolen, or destroyed, I'd buy another without hesitation. Really nice construction quality and gorgeous too. I like the sound quality, but that is a very personal thing, and very amp dependent. But I especially like it plugged into a Behringer acoustic amp for a less harsh sound, or a Roland for the screaming strat sound. I could have been happy with the Sunburst one too-- life is too short to play an ugly guitar;>)
