Very easy to play for a 12 string. Guitar is well set up. No buzzing or string noise. Really easy to tune and stays in tune. Really sounds great when plugged in. Lots of sound.

On a whim I called Fender's customer service number..I fully expected a long phone tree ordeal..one ring and Matt picked up my call..in minutes we worked out a solution then he emailed me a Fed-ex slip to a repairman in my region....I'm overjoyed...other than the few weeks I must do without this guitar I now have the confidence in this guitar to retire my beloved Guild D25 with the six string version of the Hellcat...Thank you Matt Powers at Fender

Comments about Fender Tim Armstrong Left-Handed Hellcat 12-String Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

Kudos to the team at Fender that came up with the concept for this guitar....At first I did not get it and was on the verge of returning it...The unplugged tone seamed flat to me..I took it to an open mike for a second opinion and glad I did..once it is plugged in it comes to life...and loves to be played hard....looks good too..I have not but it down all week...already given me 6 new songs...
On the other hand, who ever handles quality control for this guitar should have his or her desk cleared out by noon tomorrow...I took delivery on one a few weeks ago..the pick-up was DOA....Musician Friend was, as usual, great about refunding me and shipping out a second guitar...the action at the 12th fret is very high...slide guitar high....the first fret C note buzzes badly...the fret ends are razor sharp and need to be better dressed....I know this is not meant to be a top of the line axe but I have a Dean Boca 12 string that sells for less than this that is close to perfect in all details.
The nice discount I got here will be balanced by the cost of fixing the fret buzz and the action. The old style open tuners are another weak point that will need to be replaced by a set of Grover's as soon as the first peg breaks...and break it will...they really need to be lubed...once I take care of these few issues I can guarantee you that this guitar will have the Hellcat played out of it...Fender should come to my house and fix this guitar

Comments about Fender Tim Armstrong Left-Handed Hellcat 12-String Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

Played as well as Taylors costing Five times as much. A guitar can only be made so well. After that the only reason makers have to charge so much is reputation.

Fender realizes that and offers the Tim Armstrong Hellcat 12 string as a quality instrument at a recession era price.

With that in mind I guess they wanted to sell a lot of these because they will.
