If you have only heard about the made-in-Mexico version of the Toronado, check out the Highway 1 version. The fit and finish of this guitar are immaculate, all-chrome parts and tuners, with a solid alder body that is just the right weight and comfortable to play. It has a beautiful clear tone with a fat sound from the dual humbuckers that is reminscent of the Les Paul, but with a Fender neck and feel. The only drawback is that it only has one volume and one tone knob, rather than one for each pickup, which is a feature the other Toronados have. This guitar is well suited for a variety of different rock and jazz styles, well made, and ready to rock right out of the box.
This guitar has a great sound. Just as you would expect from fender, but it also has a great look.
A guitar worth investing in. The finish could have been better but that's part of what makes this guitar more affordable.
This is a great guitar for those looking to get away from the Strats and Teles that fender makes. You have a nice sleak body style in this guitar with a solid sound from the atomic humbuckers. This is a great guitar for fans of alternative music that might be afraid to go the full mile and play a jazzmaster. The sounds you can get from this guitar are just perfect when driven through a fender amp - so much so that I have gone back to a more natural non-pedal sound because the distortion from this guitar is so powerful and natural.
