Gibson Custom

The hottest thing happening in 1957.

The Les Paul Custom VOS re-creates the Les Paul Custom as it was at a pivotal moment in its history—the year when the PAF humbuckers became standard issue. These remarkable new pickups gave the Les Paul a thicker sound that was at the time especially unique.

Like all VOS (Vintage Original Spec) Series instruments, the 1957 Les Paul Custom VOS is handcrafted for comfort and playability in the Gibson Custom Shop. The construction, neck profile, hardware, and electronics are period accurate, and a special nitrocellulose finish treatment gives it the patina of a gently aged vintage guitar. Includes Gibson Custom Shop case and a certificate of authenticity.

I got my '57 reissue a few years ago and it is one of my favorite guitars.  The neck is nice and meaty, the pickups warm but still clear and bright, and the worksmanship is great.  In 20 years my guitar will still hold it's value, but I will never sell it anyway.

I've always wanted a Les Paul.My wife found one and bought it for me for Christmas.I fell in love with it almost immediatly.I had no idea that it was a 57 reissue. What a beautiful playing guitar.I went out and bought a Fender Hot Rod Deville 4/10.I love the clean tone it makes. My Gibson sounds better than any guitar I've ever had.

I did not expect the finish, but it sounds loud and best through a Marshall. It needs power to make it worth the money. Next to the best strats made, I have two ash American's with S1, it reaches an overdrive sound with less power, but for recording use an amp and mic. Then you hear the power in the great pickups with genuine overdrive.

This is definitely the best guitar I have played. In fact, I'm sure this will be the best guitar ANYONE have ever played!! Everything on this guitar is AMAZING!!! The action is perfect (if not, you could always adjust it), the tone is very warm, the sound is AMAZING! It may be pretty costly, but it is worth every penny that you pay for!
