Another guitar gem from the masters at Gibson's Custom Shop.
The body of the Gibson Custom Shop CS356 has been slightly scaled down to 13-3/4"W from the big 16"W on a 335 for a more comfortable feel, but it still has the inimitable sound of a genuine semi-hollow. It features a luxurious, solid quilt-maple top joined to a solid carved mahogany back, sides, and center block. It comes with Gibson's '57 Classic Humbuckers that can deliver everything from singing jazz sounds to raunchy blues and rock tones. Sumptuous appointments include big mother-of-pearl inlays on a buttery bound ebony fretboard, 7-ply top and back binding, multi-bound turtle pickguard, and brilliant gold hardware.

Top of the line and sounding mighty fine.Private Reserve Guitars will take care of your personal needs. (Ask for Dave!) They went the distance to get me the exact model, finish, ser. #, ,hi-res photos, etc., She is everything you've always wanted from an ES-335 but was never able to quite get. She's Hot & Jangly... Warm & Creamy... Bright & Punchy! No Backtalk - No Divorce!(She doesn't burst into uncontrollable feedback leaving you fearing for your life that the soundboard is going to separate from the body!) She's Tight & Light! Lean & Mean. She has a neck like a Les Paul and Rings like a Bell!Easy to play ALL the way up her neck!No Bigsby - I yank too hard and will use my trailer-trash for this! The '57 Hummers are well suited with no mud in the trunk. Likewise, there are no needles being shot through your temples on the bridge pup.Tuners are very precise despite my doubts. I ordered her with a TP-6 fine tuner tailpiece, a fresh set of 10's (my choice) and MF set it all up for me!Harmonics & intonation are dead on spec from the new factory set up. Frets smooth & level. Take the factory tour at Gibson.comWhy didn't Gibson bind the F-holes? Was it for tonality?Found a small piece of sandpaper inside the body when I dropped the pickup selector screw-on knob inside it!(Gibson ships these inside the case & not screwed on.)"To hell with love"... I am still experiencing the never ending "lust cycle" of our relationship.Go ahead... dip your wick.
I own this guitar. It is very good looking, but when I opened the case I expected bells to ring for this price. Guess what, no bells. It sounds great and plays well but the neck is a little chunky for me... All in all I like it but no bells. Scott
