Bella Voce Electric Guitar

The Gibson Custom Bella Voce will grab any serious collector’s attention. Bruce Kunkel, Gibson’s most prolific and famous resident artist, created this captivating guitar. Several of Bruce’s works remain at Gibson, where his “Art” guitars are so valued that they have never been offered for sale, in spite of repeated offers from avid collectors.

The Bella Voce is based on Gibson's ES-Les Paul, sharing most of the same geometry and electronics. But what sets it apart is the use of rare tonewoods and the finely detailed inlays and engravings that reflect Kunkel’s unique artistry.

The semi-hollow body is made of mahogany back & sides and features an exquisite veneer of seven-A grade quilted maple, which is also proudly displayed on the headstock. The top, back and headstock are all bound with abalone that has been delicately laid with a fine attention to detail. Of special note is the inlaid armrest and pickguard.

The mahogany neck has a rounded C profile with intricate inlays of pearl and abalone the full length of its ebony fretboard. The back of the neck toward the heel is similarly engraved, leading to the heel cap.

Gold hardware featuring remarkable hand engravings is used throughout. From the backplates to the Waverley open-back tuners, to the truss rod cover and ’57 Classic pickups, only the ABR-1 bridge remains un-embellished.

The more you look at it, the harder it gets to ignore this "Art" guitar. This will easily be the crown jewel of your collection. 

Part of Gibson Custom’s Crimson Series, this Bella Voce is one of only five built for the world. It is unique in color and the only one available outside of Japan. It comes with a plush hardshell case and certificate of authenticity.
