    An accurate re-creation of the quintessential Les Paul at its finest.

    This Limited Edition Les Paul Custom is crafted to be accurate to '57 specifications including the CTS pots and bumblebee capacitors. It was the first Les Paul to feature humbucking pickups, and this one comes equipped with BurstBuckers. Carved maple top, mahogany back, and one-piece mahogany neck with the '57 profile and the original extended tenon joint. It features multi-ply black and white binding on body, and single-ply binding on the neck, nickel hardware, and an original ABR-1 Tune-O-Matic bridge. For this Anniversary edition, the trademark antique gold finish is on the top, back and neck. Other special features include an engraved gold-plated 50th Anniversary headstock veneer, a gold-plated truss rod cover, and a special 50th Anniversary Custom Shop case. The Custom Shop difference — It's all about look, tone and feel.

    Only 157 of these 50th Anniversary Goldtops will be built, serialized from 57S 001 through 57S 157.

    Gibson could not have brought a better guitar to rate.  This beautiful Gold, Black and White could do no better. 2ND to none as I would say. The sound of the Burstbuckers, only adds COLOR to this GoldddddddddddddddddddD-ToppppppppppppppppppS inner beauty to break out and scream the name GIBSON like no other.. To try and top this, not a chance. To cradle her is to want to run your fingers through her GOLDEN LOCKS and sing right along with her that GIBSON need not try and  top her as we are on top of the world, higher than any peak. We are on a 57 Custom, Limited Edition 50th Anniversary GIBSON LES PAUL GOLDTOP, like the name says GOLDTOP, there is no topping this, as we are flying so high only a GIBSON 57 Custom, Limited Edition 50th Anniversary GOLDTOP with Turbo BURSTBUCKERS may break the CLOUDS with you...

    All my life I have played Fenders, Jackson's, Dean, Charvel, EVH,BC RICH, Bernie Rico JR a close 2nd, still nothing comes close to a GIBSON.

    I cannot say enough about this purchase... simply stunning!  This was bought as a collectors piece so I cannot really comment on its playability as I have it on display only.  If it plays anywhere near as good as it looks or is constructed then this is definitely a monster of tone! Get on e before they're gone... this one is going to go up over time :)
