Right out of the box, this guitar is one of the sweetest sounding models I have owned in my 30+ years of playing.  Beware of the finish and make sure you see the finish in person before you buy.  I bought based on the pictures posted on the website.  The honey burst finish is more yellow than "honey".  In fact, it looks more like the sunburst with brown edges rather than black edges.  It is still a great sounding and playing guitar. Highly Recommended!

I purchased my red figured top 335 in 2006. I own a 59 Les Paul Re-issue,and an American Tele and various other guitars, cannot have enough of course. Of all the guitars I own or have owned this is truly the best hands down. I fill in for several local bands and churches constantly. And if they cannot give me a rundown of their set list beforehand, the 335 is what I grab, do to the versatility. Pure country tele sound is the only thing this guitar struggles with, other than that an effects pedal and a good tube amp will cover everything else. As far as tuning issues I have had zero problems but I also take my guitars to a tech to restring and set intonation as soon as I purchase. I will have to have the truss rod adjusted for the first time soon but this is due to me running heavy strings, I am sure. I love the feel of this model so much I am debating buying another and thinking of putting TV Jones pickups in it to get the Gretsch sound, because I like the feel of it better than a Gretsch. Just not sure because I know of no one that has done it. Buy it, scratch it, ding it, and relish it. And I hope you love yours as much as I love mine.

The sound is worth a thousand words. This guitar is the greatest. I play blues and Jazz, and have had this "box" for a while. When I play it, I don't think about what I am doing. It just comes out.

I traded the Satin finish one for this one. The Satin finish 335 is a great guitar but this one is far superior. No tuning problems here, the Grover tuners it comes with, are very precise so its quite easy to tune and most important it stays in tune. Flawless finish, very comfortable neck and the 57 humbuckers give you what you expect an amazing mind blowing tone. Some people dont like the big body and go for the 339 or 359 instead and its understandable this guitar can be unconfortable if you play sitting down, but lets face it no active guitar player has only one guitar. If you play Blues, Rock or even Jazz, this is the right guitar for you.
