Legendary tone and distinction with a figured maple top that's enhanced by its transparent finish.
The Gibson Custom Shop Les Paul Custom Figured Maple Electric Guitar in Trans Blue has a beautifully figured maple top that was hand-selected to be shown off by a transparent finish. The mahogany back shares the same transparent finish. A one-piece mahogany neck and solid mahogany body provide plenty of warm tone. A maple fingerboard adds some bright attack while 490R and 498T Gibson humbuckers deliver warm rhythm and hot, solid lead sounds. Gibson also includes gold hardware in a tune-o-matic bridge and stopbar tailpiece, as well as a bound body, neck, and headstock.
This beauty awaits you. Order today.

Comments about Gibson Custom Les Paul Custom Figured Maple Electric Guitar in Trans Blue:
I primarily play Les Pauls (Traditional, Studio and Axcess) along with some other Gibsons (occasionally an Explorer and an SG), and here it is in a nutshell:
This might just be the perfect guitar.
The maple top gives this LP a clarity, brightness and balance that you will immediately notice, especially if you are used to "traditional" all-mahogany Les Pauls. I play a harder-edged, classic rock style, usually distorted, and even through a "dirty" rig you can notice a clarity and balance in this guitar's tone, without sacrificing the ballsy, LP growl you love. The maple board is more playable than any other LP I've owned.
The looks of this guitar are outstanding. I couldn't stop admiring it when I took it out of the case for the first time, and you'll find yourself admiring it every time you play it. The figured maple top and transparent finish (blue, in my case) are stunning.
Thank you, Gibson Custom Shop, for creating such a beautiful looking and sounding instrument. I was conflicted about spending the money on this guitar, but that vanished the moment I picked up this guitar for the first time. If you're on the fence about this guitar, all I can say is that so was I, and I am very happy I bought it. I own close to 30 guitars (Gibson, Martin, Taylor, Fender, Rickenbacker, Gretsch, etc. etc.), and this instantly became the crown jewel of my collection. I can't imagine anyone being disappointed in this guitar.
