Solid gold sound. I love this guitar! Tony Iommi from Black Sabbath and Glen Buxton from the Alice Cooper group were very tasteful in their choice. I run Mine through a Maestro Fuzztone, Echoplex and into a Fender Bandmaster Reverb, It sounds like... Well, it is just simply not describable. It's too great. So, ask Yourself if You're worthy of this guitar, and if so, join the rock legends that made the Gibson Les Paul SG custom their weapon of choice. Buy one! Another note: I also own a Fender Highway One Tele, The Tele is more suitable for surf rock, and most blues tunes, so they have two completely different sounds. Do some research as to what tone You want, because the SG doesn't cover the whole spectrum. I reccomend the Telecaster for Your single-coil needs, but, if You're just after the Rock tone, By all means, this is the perfect guitar.

The Maestro just needs Graphitall (GHS)guitar lube. It's known as "the professional secret". Apply the grease anywhere the strings touch metal so they don't bind. You'll be amazed how well the Maestro takes to it. I was happy and relieved. This is the ultimate guitar thanx to the lube
