Overview

The culmination of style and function.

First introduced in 1955, the beautifully styled Byrdland was part of the Gibson Thinline series, that was designed to bridge the gap between full-sized hollowbody and smaller, but heavier, solidbody guitars. Named after its designers, both notable guitarists, Billy Byrd and Hank Garland, the Byrdland electric guitar was roughly patterned after the larger Gibson L-5.

The Gibson Byrdland is known for its thin body, shorter scale length, and smaller ES neck profile, all of which facilitate intricate single-note patterns and extended chord shapes. This limited edition Gibson guitar features classic P-90 single coil pickups. It has an extended array of upscale appointments such as a bound ebony fingerboard with block pearl inlays, gold hardware, bound f-holes, multi-ply body binding, and the ABR-1 bridge with a distinctive Byrdland tailpiece.
