Hollowbody tradition and solidbody performance combined in a classic guitar design.

With its solid maple center block, arched top, f-holes, and chambered wings, the ES-335 Dot gave players the resonance of a solidbody with the refined looks of a traditional Gibson archtop and reduced weight of a thinline. This Custom Shop Memphis reissue has the rounded neck and dot markers that would change to a thinner profile and block inlays in 1962. Its beautiful tone and versatility has made the ES-335 a classic favorite of guitarists across all music genres.

    This is an amazing guitar!

Comments about Gibson ES-335 Dot"Fat Neck" Reissue Electric Guitar:

Ive owned vintage Fenders and Gibsons. This is by far the finest guitar I have ever played. The workmanship is extra deluxe and the playability is extremely smooth and inviting. The sound is a perfect blend of clean classic tones and hard-edge classic humbucking sound. Played through a Vintage 1960s Fender tube amp, this guitar howls. Its equally at home playing tube driven blues and overdriven 70s arena rock. Its also a great guitar for clean tubey warmth associated with Mersybeat and 60s pop.

    Absolute Garbage

Comments about Gibson ES-335 Dot"Fat Neck" Reissue Electric Guitar:

If you're thinking about buying one of these guitars, seriously reconsider it. I've had this guitar for about a month and it can't hold a tune for 5 minutes. The nut was put on unevenly and the bridge saddles wobble causing it to lose tune even more. The frets stick out of the board like blades and it is VERY uncomfortable to play. If you were looking into a good hollow body guitar, I'd recommend an epiphone over this. I've played epi's before and they are far superior to the Gibson I own.

    Gibson ES335

    By 12Stringman

Comments about Gibson ES-335 Dot"Fat Neck" Reissue Electric Guitar:

Guys, be GREAT (not good) to your wife/girlfriend; my wife surprised me with a cherry Gibson ES335 dot for our 25th wedding anniversary! I usually play a Gibson bass and Martin 12 string accoustic. A co-worker I play with asked me "what is your dream guitar", I told him, he told my wife, and viola! I am almost embarrassed to play this guitar in public as it is SO beautiful, plays SO well, and I "am not worthy". Expensive, yes, worth it, YES!!! Do what you have to do to get one; wish I had one 30 years ago, I would have taken guitar lessons! Go play one, this is REALLY a "Bucket List" guitar regardess of your age, IT WAS ON MINE! Sacrifice, do extra work, cut lawns, recycle cans, even kiss up to ugly rich old relatives, but get the money for an ES 335 and you, too, will be fullfilled!

Comments about Gibson ES-335 Dot"Fat Neck" Reissue Electric Guitar:

not only is this guitar a work of art and beauty, it is a wonderful hand crafted excellent sounding instrument. this guitar sounds absolutely pure on a clean channel, and has a gritty blues tone when put through an overdrive or distortion effect. this guitar isn't cheap but its deffinently worth it. it is truly a dream guitar.

    Sweet Woodsy 335

    By PAguy

    from Northern Philly, PA

Comments about Gibson ES-335 Dot"Fat Neck" Reissue Electric Guitar:

I have had mine a few days and I love it. It has the "fat" neck, which is not as big as the '58 Les Paul VOS neck but nonetheless very nice and signficantly bigger than the wimpy regular necks. After breaking in the strings, the tone became heavenly;just as sweet, woodsy and clear as can be. It's expensive, yes, and I wish it had the Grover kidney tuners and the pup switch was up high, but it's a beauty and I highly recommend it if you desire the bigger neck. It weighs slightly less than a regular 335, to me. It also resonates nicely, the fretwork feels good, the pups are perfect for this model and the guitar is fun to play unplugged too. I have the ebony but would have bought the vintage sunburst if I had the extra money. The old style case is ok but would have preferred to have a modern one. Buy it!

Comments about Gibson ES-335 Dot"Fat Neck" Reissue Electric Guitar:

I've had this one for probably about a week now. I love every minute I play on it. The playability is just amazing and the finger action is just as good. This is a sleek guitar in look and in tone. Of course the price is high but it is very much worth the cost!!
