Comments about Gibson Howard Roberts Fusion III Electric Guitar:
I will admit I was very skeptical on purchasing a guitar sight unseen especially from a large change. But I have to say every was perfect. Shipping I ordered it on saturday it arrived in perfect condition on monday. From there warehouse to the east coast is half way across the country. I couldn't asked for any more. The guitar was set up surprising well and was a joy to play. I wait a few days for it to acclimate to my environment, then brought it to my guitar tech to set it up to my personal specs. As far as price it was far better then any other internet price I could fine and searched long and hard. It was a great experience from beginning to end. Thanks so much musicians friend.
Comments about Gibson Howard Roberts Fusion III Electric Guitar:
My first guitar was a 1955 Gibson ES125. I also had a 1968 Classic Gibson Les Paul, but when I came across the Howard Roberts Fusion . . . . wow! What a difference.
This guitar is the best of both worlds (old and new) with the classic sound, but the modern features (like fine tuning).
Since my first hollow-body guitar, I've always loved the sound of the hollow-body guitar. And I had some back problems so the Les Paul just wasn't a good fit for me . . . the answer . . . a hollowbody guitar again, but I wouldn't be satisfied with just any hollowbody. It had to be a Gibson. I checked out several brands, but they don't compare. I looked at several Gibson models but the Howard Roberts style was my choice.
Anyone who can't find one of these babies at their local store ought to search online (Musician's Friend is one of the few sites that carry these). It'll be worth a drive to test drive one of these. Trust me. I know!
Playability of a Les Paul, but sound quality is better and it has a wider range of tone choices.
Other hollowbodies can't compare to the sound of Gibson and this is better than most other Gibsons.
Comments about Gibson Howard Roberts Fusion III Electric Guitar:
I love my Fusion guitar. She is a star burst. The gold finger tail piece looked odd to me at first. And I wasn't sure about the solid block that runs down the body. Now that I have had itfor a couple of years, I can only guess the amazing sustain has to do with the block and the tail piece. It's like having the string set in a tuning fork...the string just keeps vibrating. What I am trying to say is if thisfeature fits your style -- and it won't fit everyone's style, I often play in listening rooms where people are quiet -- then you and your audiences could be in for an experience. I'm not sure how this would go on the rock circuit. Howard Roberts was a jazz man, and he designed it. Mine is Memphis made. People would not continue to pay Gibson prices for no reason.
Comments about Gibson Howard Roberts Fusion III Electric Guitar:
I recently purchased the cherry finish Howard Roberts. It's one of the most affordable Gibson's out of the Custom Shop, but (this time) is worth the money. It has GREAT clean tones, especially in the mid and upper range. I enjoy playing fingerstyle, and this guitar is a great fit.
Comments about Gibson Howard Roberts Fusion III Electric Guitar:
This guitar is very much like the 335's I owned back in the 60's and 70's. It has the potential to have a warm jazz sound but gets very rich when run in overdrive. It has Gibson quality that has endured for years. I have had to take it to the luthier a couple times to get the neck and action perfect. Overall, it is a versatile guitar for those who like to play different styles and can't afford to own more than one or two.
Comments about Gibson Howard Roberts Fusion III Electric Guitar:
I bought my Howard Roberts 5 years ago it is truly one sweet guitar. Mine has bigsby with a roller nut bridge, rock blues jazz great action killer sustain low feed back. I owned a 175 before this The feedback was its major flaw I do not regrettrading up.
