Comments about Gibson Les Paul Classic Plus '60s Neck Profile Electric Guitar:
There is nothing on the market out there like a Les Paul. It has become legend and deservedly so. The Classic is an amazing member of this iconic family.
From clean to agonized wail, this guitar is simply fantastic. If there is any downside, like most Lps, it is a heavy monster. Invest in a decent, padded strap if you plan to use live. (And trust me, you will plan to)...

Comments about Gibson Les Paul Classic Plus '60s Neck Profile Electric Guitar:
I purchased this guitar in the Manhattan Midnight...very nice color! However, thats about it. Upon further inspection of the guitar, I noticed that there were swirl marks all over the finish...why?? Its supposed to be a NEW guitar...right? Then why were there swirl/scratch marks? Also the truss rod cover was scratched, and then I noticed that the pick-up selector was defective...I would place it in the up position, and it would fall back to the center position in a a few seconds. Honestly, I know this isnt Musicians Friends fault, but why is Gibson not paying attention to how the guitars leave their factory? Or, if this was an already returned item, why was it placed back into the pool to be sent out to another customer?? This is unacceptable when paying $1600-$1700+ for an instrument that should come to the customer in pristine condition.
Needless to say, I have sent this guitar back, and I am currently awaiting for the replacement. I really hope the next one is in better shape than the first one...Id like to continue doing business with Musicians Frend, since this is the first problem that Ive had with a Gibson.
Thank You

The most beautiful clean sound i've ever listened on a less paul, amazing distorted sound, excellent for playing Rock!!! excellent for playing Pop, Jazz, Funk, Blues, the guitar is very versatile!! amazing definition, you can play beautiful slow phrases or you can shread amazingly fast, the guitar has an awesome playability. The look is unbelievable!!

Comments about Gibson Les Paul Classic Plus '60s Neck Profile Electric Guitar:
The maple fretboard is fantastic its super smooth and plays like a dream, its grain is way tighter than rosewood and the color is spot on. this thing is all les paul ,all the right upgrades and a steal for the price. This guitar is the pefect fit between the studio and the standard and if i were you id skip both of them and get one you will not be disapointed!
Absolutely stunning!
Fit and finish is almost perfect, the finish is perfect but there are the slightest tool marks on the fretboard were they filed down the binding around the frets but you cant see it unless your littirally 4 inches from it.
defitnately the best value when buying a les paul,i got mine brand new for a thousand less than a standard and hardly see a differance between the two
Comments about Gibson Les Paul Classic Plus '60s Neck Profile Electric Guitar:
This is my first Les Paul. The closest I've come in the past was the Studio Mahogany, which was a big disappoint. I can't begin to describe what it's like to own a "piece of the legend", so to speak--I'm excited to pick this guitar up and play every single day, and I sometimes pop the case open just to have a peek at it when I'm not playing. This guitar will be with me 'till the day I die, and will be a VERY treasured possession!
Feature-wise, you can't really beat this for the price, at least when compared to more expensive Les Pauls. I could nit-pick about locking tuners and coil-splitting (which you get on the Standard Traditional Pro, which is more), but I'm guessing alot of what you're paying for here is the beautiful finish and the pick-up selection (a pair which I've only seen used on Flying V's and Explorers up until now...I could be wrong). I give this a "9" for only one concrete reason: the pick-guard comes uninstalled. I understand Gibson wanting to give customers the choice of having it on or off, but now if I want to install it, I have to drill my own pilot holes, and there's no way in heck I'm putting a drill anywhere near that finish!
Top-notch. It lives up to the Les Paul name. The finish is beautiful (I have the Heritage Cherry version), the tuning is rock-solid, and the whole thing plays like a dream. Sound-wise, this thing will give you an instant ear-gasm. Boasting the same pickup pair as the Flying V and Explorer models, this Les Paul is capable of anything from buttery blues (if you dial it in correctly) to roaring rock (also sounds great in de-tuned positions, though you'll be hard-pressed to get a full metal tone). The bridge pickup in particular is very high-output, but still retains that woody, full sound that Les Pauls are known for. For those who are worried about the baked maple neck, fear not--it does not detract from that classic tone in the least. In fact, it makes the guitar sound a bit more articulate than it may have with a rosewood neck, and it's an absolute pleasure to play on.
This is on the low end of the Les Paul price range--any lower than this and you're looking at a LP Studio Deluxe. I'd MUCH rather pay the extra and get an honest-to-goodness Les Paul: the difference in quality and craftsmanship between this and a Studio is like night and day! Compared to other, more expensive Les Pauls, this is at least as good, if not better. An awesome value!
