OVERVIEW

Perfect for straight-ahead country rock, alt country and more.

This Les Paul Nashville Jr. Electric Guitar is like holding the embodiment of country-fried rock. Gibson has taken the much-loved Les Paul Junior, given it a double cut and added a western pickguard. Players have loved the Les Paul Junior since its introduction in '55. The LP Junior's simple one pickup, flattop setup has always been known as a no-frills guitar to get-down-to-business, priced right. This limited run of only 400 Nashville Juniors is no exception.

The set neck and compensated wraparound bridge/tailpiece provide solid intonation and vibrant resonance. The single dog-ear P-90 pickup dishes out single-coil high definition with added punch--beautiful electric guitar tone through a lightly or heavily pushed amp. Rosewood fretboard with 22 frets and dot inlays. Mahogany body and neck. Chrome hardware.

Gibson Les Paul Nashville Jr.

By Pappy-JUppA

from Stanton, KY

Just got my Gibson Les Paul Nashville Jr today and am writing this review to help clarify some of the features. It is USA made, the fret board is ebony, there is no 3 way selector switch and it came with a cool white fur pile lined black Gibson simulated lizard skinned combination lockable case. This was a very pleasant surprise. The finish is not heavy and allows the pithing and grain to be seen. The fit and finish are great and came setup ready to play. The pickup is not a mellow blues or jazz pickup although use of a slide is interesting and it likes some overdrive. Comparing it to a no frills basic electric guitar I think that it is a very good value. My product ratings were based on comparing it to other basic electric guitars that I have looked at. I am very pleased with mine.

Vintage Vibe

By Anonymous

from Undisclosed

I just received this guitar a few days ago, and boy was I surprised. My wonderful girlfriend decided to play a little trick on me and ended up buying me this guitar after she dealt with me whining and moaning about how much I wanted it. It came with a hardshell case, in itself an amazing value, but the guitar is what is most surprising. Gibson has been putting out so-so products as of late, yet this Gibson exceeds any previous expectations. Great setup (on a Gibson? Out of the box?!), perfect tone and, most importantly, it plays like butter. The satin finish gives the guitar a vintage vibe with a killer, free-breathing tone. The lack of super dense polyurethane finish enhances the guitars unplugged tone, and if you know guitars, it's always the unplugged test that holds true to a guitar's real sound. Solid Mahogany and a warp around tail piece provide a fantastic mid-range punch that will have any 77 punk rock fan drooling. The pick guard detail is clean, cut deep, and fine. Definitely a guitar that will be played until either the guitar or myself can't take anymore

Nothing Junior about it

By Riggs

from East Coast Rocker

Ask me a question

Great sounding simple growling rock & roll guitar! Finish is more of a "worn" white, no gloss here. Great fret job, slinky action, sustain for days, big heavy mahogany body(8+lbs.) w/ a slick ebony board. Well worth the priceTook a 1/2 point off for shabby strap buttons. Really a great toneful soulful guitar. You will not be sorry!

Great deal on an amazing Junior!

By Ryan

from Los Angeles, CA

Being the price of this guitar was so good, I was expecting a lower quality Gibson. However, much to my surprise this guitar is a tank! Very solid and heavy, and sounds amazing. Super thick warm sound, that is still bright and clear sounding. It's nice this guitar comes with upgraded Grover tuners, and not the old Junior style tuners that don't function as well. The finish is a nice satin sheen and feels good too play. Somewhat like the "Faded" finish, but thicker and more durable.I HIGHLY suggest getting this Junior over the more expensive ones.

Nashville DC LP

By musicfan-0GJ79

from USA

I got mine yesterday and some quick observations:satin white= faded white, like the faded SG and other double cut faded les pauls. it had grover tuners, not kluson. It had an ebony fretboard, not rosewood. mine came with an hardshell case, not gig bag. Most of these are good things. It had rough fret ends but not horrible. I didn't even notice them when playing, only when purposely checking them by running my finger down the edge of the fretboard. It sounded pretty good. Not as much string definition as my standard lp, but i am not done setting it up. Maybe after adjusting the polepieces it might improve. It's a different animal than my standard that makes it feel different when playing but thats why I got it.

Nashville Jr.

By BillyB

from Texas

This guitar is beautiful. I can't find a single flaw anywhere. The action is set nice and low with no buzzing and the intonation is near perfect. One volume one tone that's all you need with a Junior. Played clean, to blues, to screaming distortion, the P-90 sounds awesome! Well it's a Gibson 1 of 400 it will only go up in value and mine shipped in a Gibson hard shell case not a gig bag.
