After years of wanting an LP while playing Tele's and Strat's, I finally decided to splurge on the Supreme. The first one arrived with the bridge and bridge pickup smashed into the body but no damage to the shipping box.. Musician's Friend was great about replacing it. The second one arrived and was a disappointment as soon as I started to play it. The G string slid out of the nut the first time I bent it because there was almost no groove in the nut. It was also impossible to keep tuned. I had the nut replaced with a graphite nut and had my tech set it up. Once I got it back, it played as well as it looked. The action is now great and smooth on the ebony fingerboard. Great bottom end, depth of sound, and range. Compared to Fenders and it sounds great through my DeVille 410. Whether I want it smooth or with bite, this guitar delivers. Now I cannot put it down, which for that much money is the way it should be.

This was the worst buy I could have made ever. When I played one of these at a guitar seller I was considering buying one becasue it sounded alright. When I ordered this off the internet about a month ago I was sadly unimpressed to say the least. It was lousy tone for the money, the strings buzzed and it needed the fretboard shaved down. As I played it more and more hoping to be rather dazzled later, I just got more and more depressed. For the money it is not the best buy at all, The quality is nice but thats about it.

    Les Paul Supreme

    By Nathan-2jpzb

I preface this review by saying I am left handed and have never played another left handed gibson. This Gibson Les Paul Supreme is amazing! Looks great and sounds incredible through my Sunn Model T and vintage Ampeg V4 cab. I'd like to comment that mine also would not stay in tune when I first got it because the nut is soft and the strings get caught on ridges caused by the strings. Get Big Bends Nut Sauce to fix this problem on any guitar. The only "flaws" in my LP is the fret ends at the binding on the neck. If I pull off on the high E string it catches between the fret and the binding. And the control knobs are for right handed guitars flipped around and put in my lefty. I have to turn them the opposite direction of every other guitar. These are minor inconveniences, though, for a left handed guitar player. I love this guitar and if it weren't for the price tag I would own more than one.

    Fell In Love With It

    By GuitarGuy29

I play this guitar once a week at the new music store in my neighbourbood, and i must say, this thing stole all my attention. Looks great and sounds amazing. Except i found one week it had been sold and they had another one out to replace it. It felt terrible. I first blasted it through some random orange head/mesa boogie cab and it was amazing. What i suggest is that you do not order this. Go and hand-select it after much rigorous playing. The first one i tried was perfect, the second, however, was not.

    Amazing

I have played every kind of les paul under the sun. I make weekly visits to local guitar shops and the only guitars I play there are the les pauls and sgs. If I'm the 1st I definitely won't be the last to tell you that the les paul supreme is amazing. Les paul customs are much heavier and have a chunkier sound while the supremes are lighter and have a really crisp clean tone. The necks are fast as you can tell if you watch that video. I will caution you to not order one. This is one of those guitars that you have to hand pick cause one will feel amazing and another will not.

    mucho dinero

My third Gibson. Own a vintage LP standard and 335. Wanted a new LP, so I decided to splurge. Not really impressed with the quality of workmanship. Compared to my old Gibsons the workmanship is shoddy. It has Grover tuners but it rarely stays in tune. I have to constantly tune after every few songs. My old ones will stay in tune dead-on for weeks. Good sound quality. For the amount of money I spent on this guitar, I expected more. This is supposed to be the Apex of luxury. Frankly I think Gibson's quality control needs to be beefed. This is not a keeper in my guitar collection. WIll probably trade for a real PRS.

    Great Guitar

I collect guitars and currently have several masterbuilt and custom shop guitars in my collection to campare this Les Paul to. It is heavy(nature of the beat) but the maple sandwich results in a throaty deep tone that is great for blues. I rarely give anything a 10 this is worth it. I will say I had to play several before I found one that sounded substantialy better than the others, I ended up with white just because the tone was better than the pretty flamed ones. I was fortunate to have a dealer with 6 to compare.

This is simply the best guitar ever. It's craftmanship is unmistaken, and it's beuaty, and natural tone are unbelievible! I just got it a week ago and I already love it! Yesterday I got a 4 1/2 star review raiting and got a record deal at a concert, and it's all thanks to my les paul, I love this guitar!!!!!

    A dream supreme

    By Anonymous

    from Undisclosed

This les paul is one of the best I've ever played. The electronics are high quality. They have a warm, fat, chunky, and clean sound. I also have an ebony Gibson LP custom. My alpine white supreme comes really close to playing as good. Especialy when I play live, I can't tell the difference. If you have some experiance at playing, I would definently recommend this amazing guitar. If you are just starting, I would go with an epiphone LP. They are just as good as a Gibson (exept for the electronics. The treble is a little dull but the guitar it's self flies.)This supreme is a fast, well playing, good guitar. It is my favorite.
