Comments about Gibson Les Paul Traditional Pro with' 50s Neck Electric Guitar (Pelham Blue):
I love the push/pull volume knobs to switch between single coil and humbucker pickups. The sounds are amazing. The Pelham Blue is a very soft and beautiful color on the Les Paul and the 50s neck feels solid and plays easily. This guitar is definitely one of my favorites for sound and flexibility in playing many genres of music.

Comments about Gibson Les Paul Traditional Pro with' 50s Neck Electric Guitar (Pelham Blue):
Sweet Les Paul for the money......50s neck is not overly "chunky", but rather thin and fast! I prefer this to the too thin feel of some 60s neck Les Paul guitars. I was surprised at how nice this guitar looks. The weight was in the medium range, not a hollowbody, but not a 14 pound Les Paul Custom either! The first thing that I noticed was the nice set-up out of the box and the great sound without even plugging the guitar in. It only got better when plugged into an Amp! The sustain and sound were over the top! I've had more than 30 Les Pauls and this one is one of the best. Modern features like coil splitting are nice too! Get one of these before they are gone! I actually got a second one I liked it so much! Now I have to sell one of my other guitars!
Comments about Gibson Les Paul Traditional Pro with' 50s Neck Electric Guitar (Pelham Blue):
Great US made Les for the money. Excellent features. Get one B4 the price goes up.
Great combination of features. Thin, fast neck. Coil tapping is a plus. This way I don't have to bring a Les Paul and a Strat to gigs. I have other Lesters, but this is a great gigger. I installed a Bigsby vibrator to make this the perfect gigging Les.
No fret buzz, no issues, just what you should expect from a US made guitar.
I find Gibsons to be pricey, but this is a pretty good deal on a US Les.
Comments about Gibson Les Paul Traditional Pro with' 50s Neck Electric Guitar (Pelham Blue):
The Gibson Les Paul Traditional Pro w/ 50's style neck is one of those guitars you have to play to believe, there's no doubt from the pictures and specs that it's a great guitar but once you lay your hands and eyes on one you will never be disapointed (you may be disapointed in your other guitars though)
The pickups are great, the electronics and fun and open up tonal possibilites, and the quality of the build and fretwork make this guitar one you'll cherish forever and ever.
If the larger neck sounds uncomfortable give the Traditional Pro with the standard 60s style neck a shot. You won't regret it!
From first glance it may seem like your standard Les Paul, but under the hood lies 2 push/pull coil taps that allow the 57 classic and Burstbucker III to split and get a nice single coil sound, while it doesn't sound just like a T or S style guitar it definitely sounds great and give you that much more control over your sound.
The 50s style neck is instantly comfortable, it's not in anyway laughably huge but a really nice profile that works well for anyone who enjoys a beefy guitar neck.
This guitar features locking Grover tuners that hold tune great, 18:1 is a must on Gibsons and this guitar doesn't suffer from the "Gibson G" where the G string is always going out of tune.
For those like me who love to tinker and take a look under the hood this guitar features indiviual pots and wired up more like the old fashioned les pauls, some modern standards and such have circuit board mounted pots, but this Traditional pro is very, well, traditional.
The finish on these guitars are fantastic! Mine has no flaws and the wood is beautiful. Every time I open the case I get giddy seeing that beautiful honey burst glow as light hits it.
The back and neck is a nice satin, that is super smooth and a joy to play. Doesn't get sticky like some other finishes, its just right.
The fret work is impeccable, this guitar plays like a dream right out of the box! I did lower the pickup height but the frets and setup is superb, I have a hard time not playing this guitar even when I'm just relaxing with friends I've got it in my lap just strumming. Which reminds me, this guitar is very very resonant and loud acoustically, You can easily just jam away without being plugged up because well, it's very loud and sounds great unplugged!
And lastly the sustain, with a slightly driven amp this guitar will just sustain...and sustain......and sustain. It's funny but it's just like in This is Spinal Tap when he's explaining the Les Paul's sustain!
This isn't a budget guitar by any stretch of the imagination, and while many Gibsons cost double, or triple this guitar you are really getting a phenomenal instrument for the money. The quality woods, the construction, the spruced up hardware and pickups, the great sounding coil taps, and one of the best necks I've ever laid my hands on makes this guitar well worth the money.
It takes a lot for me to say, "Yeah I'll spend this much on a guitar" but as soon as I played one of these the only thing I could think of was "I have to own this" and I'm so glad I did. So often when I make big gear purchases I have the tinge of buyers remorse but this guitar wiped all that away (thankfully)
Comments about Gibson Les Paul Traditional Pro with' 50s Neck Electric Guitar (Pelham Blue):
If you are looking for a Les Paul this is my pick for a great guitar with nice features at a more than reasonable price. A classic American made guitar with better features than most others- what more could you want.
Bought this to satisfy a hole in my life since I sold my Gibson Les Paul Custom back in the eighties(needed money). When I found the honeyburst with the fifties neck I could not hold back. I Had my doubts about buying sight unseen without playing it first, but could not locate one locally so I took a chance- I have absolutely no regrets.
Finish and fit are great. Setup out of the box was good for me-I like it a little high. Pups are perfect for my tastes. Coil splitting adds another dimension although the volume is reduced compared to full humbucking mode. Neck is chunky but not a baseball bat. Satin Lacquer on neck and back is nice, and neck is not sticky like gloss. My back is one piece which I was surprised to find. But it is a HEAVY guitar (which I have no problem with). Locking Grovers make string changes fast and hold nicely. Even though these are plain tops my maple is nicely grained-I was surprised.
Watched this go up in price before I pulled the trigger-don't make the same mistake. Free shipping and no sales tax was the deal maker for me. Don't think that a foreign made knock off will make you happy-there is no comparison between this guitar and the others.
Comments about Gibson Les Paul Traditional Pro with' 50s Neck Electric Guitar (Pelham Blue):
Beautiful top, satin neck feels great with the 50's neck profile, solid feel. A players dream! I'm going to enjoy this guitar for a long, long time!!
Very nice grained plain maple top, coil splitting, locking Grovers, nice case!
Had a couple scratches near the bridge volume knob. Musicians Friend worked with me on the price and I had to keep it!
Fantastic value in a Gibson Les Paul!
