OVERVIEW

Commemorating the Nashville Flood of May 2010.

The traditional Les Paul mahogany body/maple top is graced with a distinctive swirl finish. When the Gibson factory flooded, 55-gallon drums of lacquer spilled. After the waters receded, these swirl patterns were on the floor. Gibson chose to leave the remains of the spill on the floor as a reminder of the horrific disaster and subsequent recovery. The mahogany neck has a 22-fret rosewood fingerboard while a 490R neck humbucker and 498T bridge humbucker harness the resonant power of the time-tested selection of tonewoods.

Pride in their product production. I know there were issues in previous years with quality control, but that time has passed. Gibson knows they need to produce a quality product. They also will stand behind their product, and repair or exchange. There is a lot of competition out there not only from the U.S.A., but world wide. Many of us know this in what ever your trade or profession is.
I received my Anniversary Flood LP today. Set up was very well done. It was just about in tune. Love the Groover Tuners. The sound is Classic Gibson. Beautiful finish. Pictures on the internet do not show the slight glidder in the paint. I love it. The black and green swirl are beautiful. Reminds me of my U.S. Army tour (68-70). Great job Gibson. Quality, sound, looks, are excellent. And best of all," MADE IN THE USA
Excellent quality. Love the addition of the Groover Tuners.
THIS IS A COLLECTOR SERIES. I expect to pay more. I am not rich money wise. This is for enjoyment and investment appreciation. The stain and paint is all done by hand", and because it is a swirl type of art, it takes a little more TLC to apply the stain. I also love the LP Studio Mahogany Plain finish.

Has a great tone, but only about one year after i purchased it, the paint began peeling off, one of the guitar knobs kept falling off, and the screw for the guitar strap began coming out! Not even a week after all of this, I accedently dropped it, in the case, while it was barely off the ground. I was concerned but didnt think to much of it because Gipson Les Pauls are usually built like tanks. I opened up the case, and the top of the neck was nearly brocken off! Although this product had a good tone when i played it, it is NOT gipson quiality, and NOT built like a tank. I am very dissapointed in this product.

    My First Gibson, Very Pleased!

    By Superbeedan

    from Mid-Michigan

After wanting to invest in my first Gibson, this guitar really intrigued my interest. I was really drawn in by the swirl finish on the body as well as the headstock, and the fact it was limited to 300 each color. After a 30 day wait, I finally recieved a blue swirl finish. Awesome sound! Stunning finish! Top level quality! Flawless! I coudn't find a single issue with mine! I was at first personally let down with my one of a kind swirl design, but it grew on me quickly. I seen a lot of really cool designs out there, knowing they are all unique and done by hand, I have grown to appreciate mine. Just being a hobbyist, this is my first Gibson and couldn't be more happier with this guitar! Like the look and feel of the Grover tuners! The pup's sound great! Great overall tone from this beauty! I will definitely be transitioning over to a full Gibson line up as finances and time permit. Gibson has sold me! Great guitar! Awesome value! Most important to me though in these times, MADE IN USA!!

    Nice Paul for the Price

    By The Little Piggy

    from Southern CA

It does nicely and is special in its stiking paint scheme. Edge of fret board has rough finish, almost like bubbles were seeping out of the edge of the ebony while varnish was curing. Setup and intonation in particular was good right out of the case. Nice one to add to the collection, so to speak.

    Better than I ever expected

    By jbmesa28

    from China Grove, NC

I saw this guitar in a magazine and thought it looked cool. Then I seen it in a store and tried out a green one. I was blown away by the tone of this instrument. It's chambered and is very light. It also has grover tuners and holds tune extremely well!!! This is the best les paul studio I've ever played in my 20 years of playing guitar. I just had to buy it. It sounds great, resonates well, plays good, and holds tune. It is pricey, but this particular guitar just had it all. I had to buy it. It definetly has the wow factor when you pull it out of the case. To me the color is just a bonus. The tone and the tuning stability sold me on this guitar.

Flood Les Paul a Winner !

    By bobblues4ever

    from NE states

Not only does this guitar look much better in person, but is sings, the sustain is forever...I have been a critic of chambering, noit now, much more sing than my 11 pound 72 goldtop. Fit and finish perfect out of the box, hardshell case is Canadian made and plush. The colored headstock is very unique and I love it...

    Awesome color

    By Silisailor

    from Mass

Just received this guitar today. Great color and pattern. The hardshell case it came in fit the guitar perfectly. The pickups are hot, compared to my American Standard Strat. Neck is more of a "C" shape to it, it has a beefy feel to it.Intonation needed a little bit of work but no big deal.Would recommend a purchase
