It is the blonde Finish with tinted maple neck. Some of the reviews for this guitar are not for this actual guitar, but of Legacys in general. This is for the one being sold here. First of all the price. I was looking to get a Legacy from a local guitar shop. When we added things up, like a premium finish and color, deluxe case, fancy pick guard, graphite nut, locking tuners and tinted maple neck it got to be up higher than this price. Maybe more with tax. The one offered here has a premium finish included, swamp ash and looks just awesome in person. You now get a deluxe g&g vintage case included that fits the guitar tight. The pick guard is the 3 ply, not the single, so that's a plus. No graphite nut but a bone one.No locking tuners but a great Schaller system. So if you can sacrifice a few things, this guitar is a steal. Better features than a standard Legacy. You get some nice upgrades included like the finish, color, pick guard, abalone dot inlay and deluxe case. This thing is beautiful . I was really impressed. It still is custom built like all G&Ls are. It comes with all the paper work hand signed with the specs of the guitar, a C.O.A  signed by Mrs Fender, and all the hardware. Now the best part is, if it's in stock, you will have a custom made, premium Legacy guitar in as little as 5 days! Not the 6 to 8 week wait for a guitar shop to order one for you. Sure ,if you want a G&L totally custom you will pay and wait more and longer. But for what you get here it is a gorgeous handmade, custom built guitar. I'm not going to review the sound or specs , you can get that on YouTube and here, but just a review of what musicians fried is selling, and it impressive. Plus, with the promos they have all the time , you can get this guitar for a steal. Highly recommended .

Just got my Legacy a few days ago.  I was blown away.  The craftsmanship is out of this world.  I love the beefy bridge  it's a chunky Strat!  Heavier than a Fender American strat and I like a heavy guitar!  I didn't know what to expect when I ordered it,   but I am so glad I did.  I think I am a G&L man for now on even though I love Fender guitars also.   I have 5 Teles and 5 Strats all American made vintage to new models.  I always wanted to see what this G and L thing was all about, well now I am hooked.  I really don't care for the 10 gauge strings though will switch over to 9's.

I was very impressed with the paperwork and certifacate of authenticity and the spec paperwork also including the Vintage case it came with made in USA also G and G vintage case made in California!!!  This is a heavy duty rocker guitar.  I love it.  More beefier sounding thatn my Fender strats.  Great job and well done Gand L.

Quality:

The quality is amazing.  I feel like I payed 4 times more than what it costs.

Value:

for the value, it is worth every penny.

Overall:

I definately want to buy more Gand L guitars in the future. I have been turned on to something new I am impressed..

I've been playing guitar for about 3 years now and by far this is the best investment I could of ever made. The neck on this beauty is perfect. I have small hands and this baby complements them very well. The tonal versitility is out o fthis world. Its light weight. You cannot find this kind of craftmenship in any other guitar. Leo Fender left Fender and made G&L for a reason...that reason was to a legacy and that is exactly what this guitar did.

This is the 3rd G&L I've owned.  I'm a pro with 40 years experience.  I play through a Fender reissue Blue Deluxe. (PERFECT tone!). I've owned Strats, SG's, 335's, Ricks, Gretch, Tele's you name it....  So, this G&L Legacy is the instrument you want if you're looking for a strat sound, but QUALITY, USA, HANDMADE craftsmanship. It looks great, is made out of quality components, and sounds superb. I did have some issues "out of the box".  The intonation was off and so I replaced the strings.  It was still off, and had to remove some of the bridge springs on the low E through G.  Cut them in half on the B&G.  It's almost like the bridge was set a quarter inch to close to the neck or something?  Anyway, that gave me "room" to set the intonation perfectly. I added some 'roller tree' string guides.  I don't know why G&L only had one roller guide for the E&B.  I used the stock pickups for a couple months. They sounded great, but were just too noisy with the 1,3,5 positions. Couldn't stand it no more....  I had to swap them out for noiseless Fender Solarium Cobalt pickups. Now it's a 'perfect instrument'! So, no noise, even greater tone. I was really impressed with the pickup upgrade. The Fender 'quack' is allot more pronounced on the 1,2 pickup position. I modified the bass control also,  to be a "Controlled Bridge" volume control, giving me a nice 1,3 and 1,2,3 pickup combo.  (Don't know why G&L didn't think of this!?!"  So now, everything is fine tuned and rockin'. I personally found the bsss roll-off tone control useless.  I never used it anyway.  G&L is the 'next generation Fender', designed and manufactured by the man himself, Leo Fender! So try and understand... it's "where you wanna be with a Fender Strat"! I will use this baby till' I die.  If it gets damaged or stolen, I'll buy another one!  I've got the cream white with the maple neck.  Beautiful.  Feel free to e-mail me if you want more info.  Best Regards, SADHU.

Bought my Legacy and had never played one before. I researched them a lot on the web, and this was the first guitar I bought without playing it. I am glad I did. These guitars are so well made they are incredible. I just needed some light action adjustments, move the pickups a little and is screams. Its playability is out of this world and easily rivals the PRS I have. Great guitar
