    Missing Parts

    By MichaelJT

Comments about G&L Tribute Series Legacy Electric Guitar:

I received this G&L guitar unpack and wow missing whammy bar, missing owners manual, missing wrench to attach whammy bar. 1. Resolution wait 2 weeks for MF to contact G&L and maybe get the right parts. 2. Ship the guitar back at my inconvenience and wait for the my money to be credited back. Both are awful options. I am very disappointed in MFs policy after spending thousands at their store. I will never shop here again because the solution was wrong.

    Sweet Axe

    By Aaron Borgens

    from Colorado

Comments about G&L Tribute Series Legacy Electric Guitar:

Recommended. Its worth the price all day. Strat sound with a flare and different attitude. Very sexy finish. Looks much darker in person than the pictures represent though. You can only see the wood's grain in bright light.
The USA made G&L pickups have amazing characteristic and sound. Include the passive tone and bass controls (PTB system) and you have a huge palate of tonal variation. Blueburst finish looks excellent but I did find a deep chip in the finish under the tremolo cavity cover plate. I still love the guitar though and no one will ever see the chip but me so I chose not to exchange it. It is a little heavy but it doesnt really bother me. Very close to the weight of my Les Paul.
The neck is great, the pickups are great, and the finish is great! Like I said already, a little on the heavy side. The frets needed a little cleaning up on the sides and I had to set up the string and pickup heights to my liking. As well as a little adjustment to the neck-relief. The tuning machines aren't the best and I will probably replace them soon. Also, the chip...
All in all a great guitar. Especially for the price. I got mine during a promotional sale and will never regret it. This thing sounds amazing through my Spider Valve head and homemade 2x12. Looks great on stage too. I am already getting many complements on the sound and look of this guitar.

Best Strat in this price range!

    By Rick Macaruso

    from oklahoma

Comments about G&L Tribute Series Legacy Electric Guitar:

Very pleased!! I almost didnt buy it as I have always loved the fender brand, but very glad I did. It will be G&L from now on!!! Leo is the best!!
I had to give it 9 out of 10 because i dont care much for an unfinished neck, but thats is the only feature i dont like.
I did some upgrading to the electronics, and it wasn't really upgrading just changing pick-ups and wiring. I was very surprised, all the pots were 250k quarter sized mighty mights, the pick-ups are phenomenal if you like a smooth jazzy sounding pickup the wire leads are cloth covered(outstanding). The wiring looked to be all done by hand, not sure but that's what it looked like to me. very clean under the pickguard. This guitar plays phenomenal right out of the box!!! I couldn't believe it wasn't an American.
I believe it has the most to offer of any strat i have ever played(I have always loved the sound of a strat). It definitely can't be beat at this price.

    Love It!!!!!!

    By bluesmanjr89

Comments about G&L Tribute Series Legacy Electric Guitar:

I received my G&L Legacy Tribute Series as a birthday present and love it. I usually like to hand pick my own guitars but I don't think I could have picked any guitar any better. I was initially going to use it as a back up to my G&L ASAT but I can see myself playing it on at least 1/3 of my bands song playlist, especially the rockin' ones!!!

Amazing Guitar, my new main axe!

    By WhiskeyTangoRocks

    from Glendale, Az.

Comments about G&L Tribute Series Legacy Electric Guitar:

I've been playing semi-pro for many years & have gone through so many different brands of guitars. I was hooked the minute I plugged this baby in; luckily I've been doing business @ the same music shop for years, because once I started playing I was there all afternoon. I ended up trading my Gibson Studio for this guitar(& a couple of extras), everyone thought I was crazy but I told them play it first then judge. I played my 1st gig w/ this beauty last night & all I can say is this guitar is my new main axe. I used it on most of the song in the 4- 1 hour sets we played, anything from southern rock, punk, grunge, jam & a real beast @ blues. W/ a tube amp, tube screamer & analog delay you would swear you're playing a pre-CBS strat. I couldn't be happier w/ my G&L, & would encourage a friend to put it up to any modern Fender Strat. My favorite feature: Maple neck & fret board are so comfrotable, the neck & middle PU on clean are euphoric, & the trem/bridge keeps the tuning: also goes up or down unlike Fender tremolos which only go down & usually goes out of tune. This guitar is solid & well built, has sweet singing sustain. The only drawback would be the gig bag, which is very nice, but a great guitar like this needs a hard case.

    By The Wedge

    from Denver

Comments about G&L Tribute Series Legacy Electric Guitar:

I have been playing on G&L Legacy's for the Last 15 years after starting out on Fender Strats I switched over to G&L I felt the action, comfort and speed increased as a result of this guitar design including a great sound due to the higher quality pickup's as a result ... I no longer play Fender Strats Try one first and you will see!!!

    Amazing performance/value ratio

    By GHook

    from Asheville, NC

Comments about G&L Tribute Series Legacy Electric Guitar:

I bought this after playing a friends S-500 Tribute, my first experience with a G&L. I didn't know at the time that the Legacy came with different pick-ups (the 500's have MFD style pups) I decided to be open and see what I thought when I received my new guitar. I thought enough of it that I sold my Fender Strat and went with the Legacy. This guitar has tone and playability that is equal to any Strat I have played, right out of the box, and the quality is as good as some of the more expensive guitars I own. This one will be one of your better purchases foir sure.

    beautiful sound and looks

    By AllThingsLeo

    from Cleveland, OH

Comments about G&L Tribute Series Legacy Electric Guitar:

At first i was a little scared to buy this guitar. After receiving it i play it more than my fenders including the american. The tone is exactly what i was looking for for years and with half the price of others in my collection. Sound great clean and great distorted at any level. i recommend it to anyone looking for an awesome strat experience. Never gig without it!!!
