I Purchased this Guitar on the 8th and received it on the 12th, fast shipping. I was surprised at the Tone, the easy of play and the over all response of this small guitar, Its all there guys, Yes You can over play it, by strumming to hard or picking to hard but, Let me tell you, Its a lot for what it is. It sounds as good or better than, many Higher priced full size guitars. This Thing was almost in tune when I got it, Surprising? Its a great buy and a Great product. Sure there's better Travel Guitars, But not for the price, or the quality. Buy this one You won't regret it. Totally Pleased with this purchase.I've been playing for over 50+ years, I'm honestly amazed by this little SST-N Guitar!

Ordered this as a "couch" guitar and for my kids to learn on. Had to replace the tuning machines with brand name Gotohs since one broke within a day. I bought this guitar deeply discounted, so I wouldn't bother returning it. Filed some lower frets on the treble side and adjusted the truss rod, but the bridge saddle needs lowered for optimal playability. Can only recommend this to someone able to provide a proper setup.

I was suprised at the over all playability of the Guitar. Quite a lot of sound for its size. Stays in tune and plays well. The sound is also quality befitting a solid wood top.

Comments about Great Divide Campfire SST-N Travel Guitar:

I had my doubts at first due to the small body size. When I adjusted the neck tension and set the tuning to 450 mhz, well that was a different story. Wow!!! The short scale requires a bit higher tuning over all but the range of full tones and the super easy action make this very nicely built little beauty a real treasure. You have to be nuts to pass this one by especially at this price!!!!

Comments about Great Divide Campfire SST-N Travel Guitar:

Overall : this travel guitar is a great value. It is what it is, though, something you can take with you when you don't want to lug the bigger/expensive 'axe.' Personally I prefer this one versus , for comparison, a more expensive 'travel Martin' guitar (which I have played - previously). The guitar's tuning machines and finish aren't perfect: though they're OK/adequate. I think this guitar is a good value- for the money spent: around the $ 100 price point.

Comments about Great Divide Campfire SST-N Travel Guitar:

An absolutely amazing little guitar for such a rediculously low price. Solid sitka top, bone nut and saddle! The action was nice and low right out of the box. Intonation is spot on. The tuners aren't the greatest, but they don't slip and work just fine. I was absolutely shocked at the solid build quality. Simply amazing that one can get such a high quality, small guitar for under $100. This guitar is worth $300-350 easily. If you get one, you wont regret it. In fact you will brag at what an amazing deal you got! I may even get two more.

Comments about Great Divide Campfire SST-N Travel Guitar:

The one item that moved me from just considering to actually buying the guitar was getting a solid top in a guitar at this price. As stated by other reviewers it appears that the action might be a little high. However, I'm not a long time experienced player. So keep that in mind on my assessments. So far, the action doesn't seem to be an issue. Sounds good for size and cost. The fingerboard seems to be a little narrower than my full size dreadnaught so I've had to concentrate more on my fingering but not too bad. Being an inexpensive guitar I was expecting issues with cheap tuners but so far guitar has stayed in tune or at least very close to in tune. Construction is good and looks good for the price of the guitar. No cracks or joint issues. First guitar that I received was damaged either by shippers or at the Musicians Friend warehouse. MF quickly sent a replacement the day I received the damaged one and called MF about the damage. They did charge my credit card a second charge but refunded as soon as they received the damaged return. I have tried to get to the Great Divide website to register my warranty but Great Divide doesn't seem to have an active website at the moment. Overall, for an inexpensive, decent practice guitar to haul around to places you would hesitate to take your good, expensive guitar I think I am going to like this one.

Comments about Great Divide Campfire SST-N Travel Guitar:

This is my second of these as the first one they sent me, the saddle was sloped. This one is better. It is pretty loud for such a small bodied guitar. Its louder than the Yamaha 3/4 for example and it has a solid top. Its true the tone is not like my dreadnaught but for sitting in the easy chair, its great.

Comments about Great Divide Campfire SST-N Travel Guitar:

This guitar is a small guitar with a good sized neck. I had tried the Yamaha Jr but the neck was too narrow for chording with adult hands, but this one has a regular width neck. Plus its a solid top. I like the small size. The first one I got had to be tweaked at the nut a little and the bridge and saddle were off as the saddle was slanted back to the nut by a lot ruining the intonation. I realized the intonation would never be right and the saddle groove in the bridge was cut wrong, so I returned it. The second guitar I got has perfect intonation. The tone is not as nice as a full size dreadnaught but its pretty nice for such a small guitar.

Great well build guitar.I bet if you added a piezo pickup and some decent pegs this guitar could be a contender.I had to shave down the bridge and nut a bit but the over all sound and feel is good.

It is a fantastic sounding guitar given its size. It stays in tune and it is easy to play. What more could you ask for in a campfire guitar. We travel a lot, and do sit around campfires, so this guitar gets constant use and it is always up to the task!

Though sold as a "travel" guitar, because of the narrow fretboard it feels more like a kid's guitar. That being said, for the price I am very happy with it. I did not expect it to be so well constructed, or have as rich a tone as it does - not something I would want to perform on, but pleasing to the ear.
