OVERVIEW

Classic looks, upgraded electronics and feedback-fighting construction.

The single-cutaway G5620T-CB Electromatic Center-Block Electric Guitar features "That Great Gretsch Sound" with the "center-block advantage." The interior solid spruce center block running the length of the guitar's 1-¾"-deep thinline-style body makes for a lively "high gain-friendly" tone and delivers greater control over the kind of feedback players want.

The new dual-coil Super HiLo'Tron neck pickup is voiced to produce a clean, high-end sparkle with robust low-end, low-noise performance. Together with the "Black Top" Filter'Tron bridge pickup, it's a potent tonal combination.

Other premium features include five-ply maple body construction with a bound arched top and back, bound "cat's eye" sound holes and a bound maple neck. The G5620T-CB also has a 12.5"-radius rosewood fingerboard with 22 medium jumbo frets and Neo-Classic "thumbnail" inlays, three-way pickup switching, single-ply black pickguard with Gretsch logo, five "G-arrow" control knobs (volume for each pickup, tone for each pickup, master volume), anchored Adjusto-Matic bridge and flat-handle Bigsby-licensed B70 vibrato, Grover tuners and knurled strap retainer knobs. Case sold separately.

Comments about Gretsch Guitars G5620T Electromatic Center Block Semi-Hollow Electric Guitar:

Received the guitar today- only two days shipping from Musicians Friend. Arrived in perfect condition and set up allowed me to play it out of the box. Intonation was perfect and electronics flawless. Great sounding pickups and love the new neck pickup. Very clear sound and a little brighter than my Gretsch with sound post bracing (5420). I was torn between which guitar to keep and decided to keep both because they have different character in terms of sound but playability and quality is pretty much identical. I can't imagine someone not loving this guitar- and the 5420. A joy to play. Note: I have the Georgia Green one which is stunning.

Comments about Gretsch Guitars G5620T Electromatic Center Block Semi-Hollow Electric Guitar:

Bought this guitar month ago. Plays well. Good construction. Nice sound. Different than my Gibsons and Fenders. Wanted to get that George Harrison early Beatles twang and jangle as well as rockabilly/country sounds and it was close. I dropped in a set of TV Jones Classic pickups and the sound I was looking for really came alive. Can't beat it for the price. The center block is a nice improvement to the Electromatic design. Not a lick of unwanted feedback.

Comments about Gretsch Guitars G5620T Electromatic Center Block Semi-Hollow Electric Guitar:

This guitar absolutely blew me away. I bought the Georgia green model, and the pictures just do not do this guitar justice. It looks absolutely stunning in person. I must say, I was a little skeptical of the tone, and fit & finish of the guitar prior to ordering it. The guitar is just very satisfying to play. It came set up well, has good balance, and the pickups sound a lot better than I expected. With that said, I will probably be changing the pickups to TV Jones, and also putting on locking tuners. The pickups are good, I just like a little more definition in my tone. I have no complaints about the guitar, and it compares to plenty of guitars costing 2 to 3 times as much. I own several U.S. made Fender and Gibson guitars, and the build quality and feel is right up there with them. I won over 30 guitars, and this one will be my favorite for quite some time.

Comments about Gretsch Guitars G5620T Electromatic Center Block Semi-Hollow Electric Guitar:

Great value on this guitar. Just needed tuning out of the box, as was expected. The finish was perfect( I got the black one), and the Grover tuners are among the best you can get. This is a Chinese made guitar, but the Gretch quality control is second to none. Sounds as good as the Country Gentleman without the price tag.

Comments about Gretsch Guitars G5620T Electromatic Center Block Semi-Hollow Electric Guitar:

I've never owned an actual gretsch guitar until now, and I must say that I do not own a guitar that sounds like this at all; sweet and ballsy all at the same time. I've played it through a fender frontman 25 on a job and everyone in the band loved it. I can't wait to plug it into one of my (decidedly louder) vox tube amps in the recording place and let her rip. oh-and I love the cat's eye ef holes---ta da

I have 15 guitars. Not a pro but jam once a week in a studio . Got fenders, American standards, deluxeS and custom shops and gibson les paul single and double cut. Naturally different sounds and tones. But this guitar blew me away on tone, feel and even lack of hum even against the American gibson les pauls. Impressed

Feels great and sounds great. A lot nicer and well made them the 5420 and 5120. The only compliant is that the tone knobs are more like an on/off switch. It would be nice to be able to get a little bit of the in between.
