I once played this guitar at a SamAsh (fail) after I had been drooling all over the magazine picture (fail) I WAS NOT DISAPPOINTED. (WIN) It's tone is amazing, It looks beautiful, It carries out the gretsch legacy well, and I would do anything to get my hand on it. if you've got 3 grand, go to a GUITAR CENTER OR MUSICIANS FRIEND (WIN) and get one of these!

This is the best guitar I have owned.  I have 2 tele's, a strat, an LP, and an SG and none of them come close to the Falcon.  With the P/U selector and tone selector switches you have 6 distinct tones even before adding your specific pedals.  The neck and fingerboard are sweet, electronic are great, and finish beautiful.  Body is definitely big, be prepared for that if you choose to purchase.  Even though it is a hollowbody it is not neck heavy which is a hugh plus.

If you are not familiar with The Gretsch history, sound, Bigby, Gretsch tone circuitry, floating bridge whether it be 'Space Control', 'Rocking Bar' etc., Gretsch may not be your ticket to ride. However, these guitars (all the Gretsch professional series), have phenomenal sound and playability. I own 29 of them and the craftsmanship is second to none. Of course the vintage Gretsch have twice the value but their construction and, often times their playability could be slightly difficult. These new Gretsch guitars have great sound, tone and playability no matter the genre.

This is the nicest guitar I've ever owned or played.  Play it through any amp (and I mean even a crappy No Name factory second with bad onboard effects).  It sings.  It's big, bigger than my Martin actually.  I don't know what the deal is, but I get a rash sometimes on my forearm, maybe from the gold binding.  Still, it's worth the pain, this thing is BEAST.

I received my White Falcon and just opening the case and seeing that pure white guitar was amazing.  It was setup perfectly for me, though I changed strings immediately to a wound 3rd (call me a wimp, but I don't like unwound 3rd strings).  The guitar is fabulous.  Sounds great, looks incredible, records like a dream and plays just like you think a Gretsch should. It's not a Fender, so you don't expect that kind of action. It has that Gretsch bite with a little twang.  A bit pricey, considering the case was a TKL, and a US made Gibson 335 is about the same price, but, so far, I love it.  Haven't played it live yet, but in the studio it is a dream.
