The Guild D-55 is unsurpassed.

Features:

I bought this 2010 guitar used off ebay.  I feel as if I stole it for 1700.00.  It was virtually unplayed.

I won't repeat the specs, but I will say that every component is top of the line.  The top has a nice flame, the sides and back have a beautiful chocolate grain, the ebony fretboard and binding are flawless, the nitrose is perfect, the inside is immaculate.  This guitar is everything that you would expect from a Martin D-41 or 42 at only a fraction of the cost.  I just sold a D-41 about a year ago and regretted every moment of not having it, but I guess everything happens for a reason because this Guild D-55 is better in my opinion and I think most anyone would agree that it is at least the D-41's equal.

The sound and playability is where I am really sold.  The looks are just icing.

Quality:

I can't find a craftsmanship flaw on the guitar and I have looked it over for a few hours now.  Not one factory flaw.

Value:

The price for this guitar is a steal.  Loot one while you can.  If you pay more for a different guitar and you are looking for a classic dread then I think you are just paying that much because you are a brand loyal kind of person.

Overall:

I think this is the best sounding (most important), playing, looking, feeling guitar from a mass produced model.  Get one and you'll never have to look anywhere else.  I may add a burst if I can steal another.
