The F-50 features a solid Sitka Spruce top with Red Spruce bracing, solid Maple sides, and the unique arched Laminated Maple back that has helped to define the Guild jumbo legacy - for a strong, powerful sound with exceptional volume. Other refined features such as a satin finished Mahogany neck with slim profile, ivoroid body binding, and bone nut, saddle, and bridge pins round out the package to create a truly fine instrument.

You're probably not going to believe this, I know I didn't, but I WON this guitar in an on-line drawing from Premier Guitar! This is an understated beauty of a guitar, what with the solid rosewood back and sides, rosewood headcap overlay with pearl inlay, and rosewood fretboard and bridge, but that's not all. The solid sitka spruce top is gorgeous to behold as well, not to mention the Mahogany neck. The grain of the mahogany is just beautiful too, but then have you ever known Guild to use anything but the best when it comes to wood? OK, that takes care of how sweet this guitar looks, now about the sound; it's perfect! What can I say, the projection and sustain rank right up there and surpass any other Martin, Taylor, Gibson, or Breedlove rosewood dreadnaught you care to put up against her. And the tone is even across the board, from high to low and everything in between. This guitar would be good for any genre of music that you'd like to use an acoustic for. Now she's not as "Bling-alicious" as the D-55, but if you're looking for tone, at a price that won't break the bank, check this one out. If you're after a smaller or even a larger guitar, they have all body sizes in the standard line-up, as well as different woods too. This is my first Guild, but it won't be my last.
