Comments about Guild GAD-F40P Grand Orchestra Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

I have been playing for 14 years and previously owned a Takamine G-series (very nice entry level guitar, BTW) and have been looking to upgrade to a Martin. However, after playing this and comparing it to a number of Martins (D-15, D-16, OM-1, etc), it was pretty clear I had to relinquish my Martin fixation and buy this GAD F40P instead...none of the Martins played as comfortably, looked as nice, or sounded as beautiful as this. I can't recommend this highly enough, and I only hope for others' sake that Guild decides to continue making these.

Guild quality at a good price!

Comments about Guild GAD-F40P Grand Orchestra Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

I'm 48 years old and have been playing a guitar since I was 14 years old. Although I've played more electric guitars throughout my years I've recently gotten into acoustic guitars and finding a good one that compares to higher priced ones has been a long process for me but I decided on this Guild GAD-F40P for many reasons. The wood involved in the construction is simply beautiful, especially the African Padoak that makes up the back and sides. The neck is mahogany and is a very good width. Narrow but not too narrow and the sound that comes out of this guitar is simply great! The guitar was set up very nicely when it arrived and the overall tone is amazing when compared to my other $350 acoustics. The guitar produces a bright, yet full tone and even the guitar plugged in sounds great! I love this Fishman Matrix pickup very much. The guitar case is nice also and is a tweed style with antique latches. I know you will love this guitar as much as myself and the price is very reasonable for what it's made of and how it sounds. I am considering a 12 string Guild but need some more money and will be saving for one for sure!
