Comments about Hohner HAG-250P 1/2-Size Parlor Acoustic Guitar:

Guitar is beautiful. Has nice details and looks like a miniature of a well built full size. Unfortunately, one of the screws that held on one of the turning keys broke during the very first tuning of the strings. Had to return the guitar. Musician's Friend staff were wonderful about the exchange, immediately providing a free shipping label for the return via email. I hope the replacement product performs better, and if not, I know I will be able to return for a refund. Great customer service!

Comments about Hohner HAG-250P 1/2-Size Parlor Acoustic Guitar:

The Hohner HAG-250P gives no surprises: it is an inexpensive, modern factory made, musical instrument.
The notes are reasonably accurate going up the fretboard. The string height is playable, slightly higher than necessary. This 0 fret design, something which I prefer, is probably the wisest choice for such an inexpensive instrument. The low level of refinement, e.g. at the tuning machine slots, is appropriate to the price. Both tone and volume are consistently acceptable.
The name is silly. 1/2-size is vague; while "19 inch scale" would give the essential measurement. "Parlor" is meaningless, perhaps applied in the belief that this is the current fashion of how to sell a relatively small guitar.

          HAG-250p 1/2Size Parlor Guitar

Comments about Hohner HAG-250P 1/2-Size Parlor Acoustic Guitar:

It is what it is, and for a very good price. BUT As soon as you get it remove the junk strings and install some good ones and you will have a fine little Guitar. NOW what i did was put a set of REQUINTO strings (d'addario J94 ) and now have the same thing as a GUITALELE at 1/5 the price. And it sounds better than it looks. The band loves when I play it
Same as other guitars. And is a very nice looking insturement. If it had good strings I would have gave it a 10
What do you expect for the price. Not Bad
It has no value, It is a very reasoniable small Guitar.

          great guitar but,,,,,,,

Comments about Hohner HAG-250P 1/2-Size Parlor Acoustic Guitar:

When I first recieved this it looked great, but sounded terrible and wouldnt stay in tune. After I changed the strings I sounded great, the guitar stayed in tune and everything! So overall great guitar, just change the strings. This makes an excellent travel guitar with pretty good bass for a small guitar.

Comments about Hohner HAG-250P 1/2-Size Parlor Acoustic Guitar:

it took about 3 weeks to get here, but i finally got it. the price was great, there were some cheaper, but i didn't like the idea of a guitar in technicolor. the strings it came with weren't to my liking, so a fast change was in order. as with all parlour guitars (or the majority), the neck is non-adjustable. it was made in china and there is a strong buzz on occassion. not the idea starter guitar, but the price is right.

          Excellent Value!

Comments about Hohner HAG-250P 1/2-Size Parlor Acoustic Guitar:

I bought this guitar online for my 2 year old son. (Tried to get a 1/4 size in another model but those are hard to come by.) This guitar is definitely not a toy. It stays in tune moderately well--once it has settled in for at least 3 days. The sound is good for such a low price. I can only hear very, very slight buzz when fretting. It has nylon strings which is good for beginner hands. You can count on this guitar as being the best in the price range, since all the other ones are literally toys.
