Solid spruce top, mahogany back & sides, and advanced construction.

The Artwood series was crafted to produce a traditional as well as a modern guitar. Technology moves forward at a frantic pace and the world of guitar craftsmanship is no different. In producing the AC300NT Artwood Grand Concert Acoustic Guitar, Ibanez respected the rich tradition of the acoustic guitar while adding modern interpretations in their continuing search for the ultimate in guitar tone.

This is a descendent of the old orchestral acoustic guitars, instruments designed to be audible over large instrumental ensembles in the days before amplification.

This Grand Concert body features a wider, 44.5mm neck and shorter 24.9" scale length, ideal for finger picking, while the Solid Engelmann Spruce top and Mahogany back and sides provide a robust tone. Rounding out this rich-sounding acoustic are chrome Grover Tuners for better tuning stability, bone nut and saddle for enhanced overtones, and an easy grip neck shape. Other refinements include a distinctively contoured bridge and a headstock where tradition and modern style co-exist.

Amazing "Bang for the buck" instrument

By ed mili

Comments about Ibanez AC300NT Artwood Grand Concert Acoustic Guitar:

see my features review above
First let me say that after playing guitar for more than 50 years and owning some of Gibson and Martins best instruments I bought this AC 300NT as an afterthought and a whim. I saw it hanging on a wall and it looked far more expensive than it's price tag claimed it sold for. I sat down with it and after only a few notes and chords realized that this was something special. It had a warm yet balanced tone that I believe is the result of the solid Engelman top, excellent scalloped bracing and the real bone nut and saddle.
For an instrument with laminate mahogany back and sides this guitar sang with a voice I have never heard from this type of build. The neck played amazingly well. Wonderful action and feel. The 1 11/16ths nut width and 12" fretboard radius was flawless. The neck carve felt amazing in my hand. The fit and finish was very good for a guitar in this price range. It's visual appearance is incredible for it's price point as well.
The real compliment is that I find myself picking up this Ibanez and playing it before I even reach for any of my more expensive ones. Every once in a great while there comes along a "special" guitar at any price that just fits a player so well tonally and feel wise that you can't deny it is like your "favorite pair of jeans" so to speak and this is the one that does that for me.
So if your just starting out as a player or your a seasoned pro, don't let the price level scare you. This guitar is worth a try.
the finish is visually pleasing and done very well with a satin finished mahogany neck that allows faster playing. The fret work is very good as well. The fretboard is done with a higher grade rosewood than one would expect. The Grover tuners work well. The abalone rosette is a very classy touch as well as the vintage cream binding all around the body front and back, along the fretboard and headstock. Beautiful headstock overlay with very well done and tasteful inlays of abalone and pearl.
As I said this guitar is an exceptional value for it's price.

My first Ibanez.....no regrets so far.

By Steven Rahn

Comments about Ibanez AC300NT Artwood Grand Concert Acoustic Guitar:

I give this guitar high marks overall for an all-around, playable guitar.
I wasn't familiar with Ibanez, so looked at more familiar makes first, but couldn't deny how nice this acoustic felt in my hands. The action was just right, and the extra wide neck was a plus....I play finger-style. The sound is softer than a dreadnought, but still fairly strong, and the tone mellow and bright. I really didn't want another dreadnought anyway. This guitar could turn out to be a favorite, more playable than my Washburn, which cost more. Comfort and playability are really important to me these days, and this guitar gets high marks from me in that category. It is an elegant looking guitar, with an abalone rosette that adds a touch of flash. At the price it is hard to beat in my humble opinion.
