I am a published song writer and play in a popular trio with two well known, excellent musicians. I also produce my own music in a very good quality home studio. For some time I have been looking for a classical guitar with a small gague neck. I tried and love Taylor (own two), but didn't want to spend the money for the Taylor classical, given my limited need. The Ibanez was the perfect compromise. It's very playable, attractive, well put together, excellent features for the money, sounds great live (through mains), and records great. I didn't rush into the guitar. Owning several instruments, quality comes first for me, but this guitar hit all the strides we put it through. Take your time buying any acoustic instrument, but take a minute to consider this if budget is also important. You won't be disappointed.

Comments about Ibanez AEG10NE Nylon String Cutaway Acoustic-Electric Guitar:
I kept going up to Guitar Center and playing one of these but it exceeded my budget. MF (hey, they picked their initials, not me) sent me an e-mail with pricing so low it was an offer I couldn't refuse. A little leary of ordering online, but no complaints. Good quality instrument at a great price. They said "gently used" but actually it was hardly used at all. Better than the one I've been beating up at Guitar Center.

Comments about Ibanez AEG10NE Nylon String Cutaway Acoustic-Electric Guitar:
This guitar is an amazing instrument for the money. I have ten other much more expensive guitars but this is the one I gig with (acoustically) the most. Wonderful electronics and action. I had to adjust the bridge to correct the intonation and also had to remove a few burrs from the fret ends. I use the Planet Waves sound hole cover which prevents feedback without diminishing the tone. Two musician friends of mine were so impressed by the sound they both bought one. Also got one for my daughter and she loves it. My advice is simply to buy this guitar because you won't regret it. And so very affordable. Pretty cool!
Comments about Ibanez AEG10NE Nylon String Cutaway Acoustic-Electric Guitar:
Guitar is poorly made, It will not stay in tune. It feels and looks cheap, not something you would want other musicans seeing you playing. Thank goodness for Musicans Friends 45 day return policy as I would hate to have been stuck with this guitar. Save your money and buy a better guitar.
Comments about Ibanez AEG10NE Nylon String Cutaway Acoustic-Electric Guitar:
I had to work on the bridge & frets to soften the edges. Otherwise this is a really nice guitar. Sounds quite nice. The equalizer/tuner was beyond my expectations. Overall I'm very happy. I now own 4 guitars and find myself picking up the Ibanez most often. The fact that the neck is very close in size to my steel string guitars makes moving from one to another effortless. I spoke so highly of this guitar that my brother (who owns several very high end guitars ) ordered one. By the way : apparently my guitar must have just come off the boat it was so new. It came out of the box sounding pretty good and in the short time I've had it the sound has improved dramatically. I fully expect it to improve more with time.
Pros
- My First Real Guitar
Cons
- Not Fond Of The Color
Best Uses
- Good beginner guitar
Comments about Ibanez AEG10NE Nylon String Cutaway Acoustic-Electric Guitar:
Just started learning how to play and am enjoying it very much. My instructor has been teaching for 50+ years and has recommended this same guitar to other students. I'm just not too fond of the tangerine color but that doesn't make it play any better so I'm happy!
Pros
- Finish Not Finished
- Glue From Under Bridge
- Strings Not Anchored
- The Nut Was Cut Too Short
Cons

See above for comments - what more could I say?
I took this out of the box 3 hours ago... and I already love it!
I live abroad mainly and only come back to the UK for about 3 or 4 months a year and needed a new guitar for the music nights I attend over here. I didn't want to spend too much because of not really getting to play it too often... but I needed an acoustic/electric as my previous guitar was an old Spanish acoustic and it was getting too difficult to keep on setting up a mike near to the sound hole.
I love this... it will do the job well for me and the price was just right. It's better than its price - that's for sure! Feels nice to hold and the sound is just what I need. I am used to playing nylon strings and didn't think I'd get one at this sort of price - but I was wrong! The slim neck is a bonus for my small hands, too.
I'd just bought a clip on tuner recently... but this is now relatively redundant as I'll be playing this guitar more than my previous one.
I'm sure that I'm going to love it even more over the coming years... a good buy undoubtedly!
See above for comments - but certainly a nice tone!

Comments about Ibanez AEG10NE Nylon String Cutaway Acoustic-Electric Guitar:
Looks and feels very nice and it plays good right out of the box, I like that. Not much set up and it stays in tune, I like that. This one, like most thin body guitars I've played, sound better equalized through an amp. But I needed an inexpensive guitar that plays well and I could amp up when I wanted to. My only complaint is a few minor scratches and the strap pin in the back of the neck was installed at a wierd angle, but all in all cool enough for a knock around the house guitar.
Comments about Ibanez AEG10NE Nylon String Cutaway Acoustic-Electric Guitar:
I purchased this guitar several years ago from Musicians Friend & I am very happy & satisfied with this guitar. I am 65 years old & I enjoy playing the blues & clazzik rock. This is my very first nylon string guitar & I bought it on impulse after reading the description of the narrow neck designed for the steel string player in mind. As stated- I do not play classical guitar! However when I started playing some of the classic songs that I know like Bad Company,Knocking on Heaven's Door,California Dreamin', Heart of Gold, etc. the sound was just awesome! I've even played with a slide on a couple of songs like Tobbacco Road & Bad to the Bone & in addition to that I've used it on some blues improvising with & without a slide! I have a very nice collection of guitars some of which are "high-end" both electric & steel string acoustic. I don't exactly know the reason but I find myself picking up this one more & more whether i'm just practicing for myself or entertaining. If you want to add a new voice to your repertoire- Buy this guitar! & buy it from Musicians Friend- They were the first to make guitars & equipment affordable to the local musician! B4 that- well you had to pay retail+ in your local music store!
