This guitar is amazing. Though I found the stock pickups a bit weak for my personal taste. I ended up changing them out for an Air Norton DiMarzio (bridge) and a late 70's/early 80's PAF. Now the sound is beautiful and has more texture than the stock pickups. My only other complaint is the tuners seem to not stay in tune, though I am an agressive player. Again, I am a Fender guy, but I would grab this one over my American Strat or Epiphone G-400 for overall playing.
I bought this guitar based only on the reviews here, I got lucky it seems becuase this guitar lives up to my expectations. I was playing an epiphone LP that costs roughly double and I like this one equally if not more for the warm smooth tones and it can still growl with overdrive and drop D. The clarity on the G,B,and E strings sounds great still even with EAD or DAD growling something else above it. Oh and lastly the feedback that people warned me about is not an issue what so ever.
I got this guitar locally and love it. I'm not a professional player by any means but I love this guitar! It looks sweet, sounds good, it's light, not bulky, and had a good price. 5 Stars from me.
I bought this guitar a few months ago and I must say im impressed. The value on this guitar is unmatched by any that I've seen in its price bracket. It came in the mail strung with D' Addario strings and was actually in tune! I made a few action adjustments and it was good to go. This is my second Ibanez guitar and I must say that both times I was not disappointed. Its very light weight so its easy to carry and dosnt kill your shoulders after an hour of playing. Its very versatile as well. Im into a lot of different music and from modern jazz sounds to hard/metal, it cab pul it off. Its not by any means a high end guitar and it may stand to have better pick ups installed, but where am I going to find a good pair of pickups in a faded black finish??? These are fine. I'm going to leave them in. If your looking for a good everyday axe and want to look cool as hell too. you can look no further.
It works well for blues and a lot of rock music. The only problem I've had is that the selector switch was broken on arrival so I had to send it off for repair.
I shopped around for a while and this was the best in my price range for what I wanted. I'd never played it but it matched the specs on other guitars that I have. It's beautiful, the finish is amazing. There is almost no feedback when I play it. Even with metal overdrive there is only minimal buzzing. I definitely made the right decision.
