Ibanez

A well-constructed dreadnought that is highly resonant and beautifully appointed.

The Artwood AW3000WC is designed to produce the superior natural sound that people expect from pure acoustic guitar, and there is no compromise on it. Moving towards a more traditional design and utilizing selected wood materials and parts as well as a more traditional neck size, it delivers one of the best sounds from an Ibanez Acoustic Guitar. With their full sound, strong bass, and clarity in chording and soloing, dreadnoughts have become the most popular acoustic body style.

The beautiful craftsmanship of the AW3000's includes a solid Engelmann spruce top; lush, solid mahogany back and sides; rosewood body bindings and full sound, strong bass, and clarity in chording and soloing. The AW3000's bone nut and saddle delivers a well-balanced sound. Gold Grover tuners with brown pearloid knobs not only look great, but will easily get you in tune and keep you there. Includes lightweight gig bag.

Comments about Ibanez Artwood Series AW3000WC Solid Top Acoustic Guitar:

I purchased this guitar from Musicians Friend in Sept. 2010. It comes with D'Addario EJ16 strings and that is the perfect string for it. Only thing I've done to improve the guitar is lower saddle height by filing the underside. Action was good out of the box but now it is low and fast. Barr Chords are EASY to hold on an Ibanez guitar slim neck.

Built in Indonesia. The neck is mahogany with joints to other pieces at the heel & headstock. My only complaint to Ibanez is, this guitar is so nice it should come with a quality wooden case rather than the foam case with gig bag shell. A Martin guitar with solid tonewoods as this guitar will have louder deeper sound, but cost will be more than twice the price. This Ibanez's sound will only improve with aging. Projection is good.

Very satisfied

Comments about Ibanez Artwood Series AW3000WC Solid Top Acoustic Guitar:

The Ibanez AW3000WC guitar is the "new" current flagship model from the Ibanez Artwood sreies. After 6 months of use I love it more than ever. I bought this guitar for performing live at small venues. I play into a mic and always want the true warm sound of the solid wood acoustic to be heard as such. I do a lot of fingerstyle as well as some medium force flat top picking. This guitar has great sustain! No electronics, beautiful, well built, priced right. Money well spent!

Asthetic Pleaser

Comments about Ibanez Artwood Series AW3000WC Solid Top Acoustic Guitar:

I've owned this guitar for several years. I can tell you that Ibanez makes a beautiful guitar with fine accouterments that make the purchasing appealing to the eye. However, that's where the joy ends. The neck geometry on these guitars are so poorly set that they need a neck reset from the factory. You will end up with a beautiful guitar that will hurt your hands to play. As a result, you won't want to play it much. It's a shame that a guitar made of such find tone woods is diminished by a lack of craftsmanship. The guitar sounds good on open chords, but there are dead spots throughout the neck. It is basically worthless in the 6th and 7th positions above the 12th fret. Barr chords are especially painful to play because the neck angle is so atrociously set. What makes matters worse, the cost of resetting the neck exceeds the value of the guitar (about $600). You'll be stuck with it and won't be able to sell it.

Worth the money

Comments about Ibanez Artwood Series AW3000WC Solid Top Acoustic Guitar:

Guitar has the sound it should for a solid wood instrument. Strap pin is in the heel of the neck as it should be. Sustain is wonderful and the Grover tuners are nice. I really like this guitar and it is the one I would buy again if I could do it all over. Playable out of the box but you will want to have it set up to improve the string action. Saddle is compensated. Comes with a soft CASE that is superb, I was expecting only a gig bag. I have had this guitar for close to a month now, I have been and will continue performing with it. This is the best sounding guitar for fingerstyle I have ever owned. Good job Ibanez making this dreadnought.
