(Fast Action Set-Up Technology) adjustable neck. Ibanez Artwood guitars offer more quality, sound, and value than guitars that cost considerably more.
The AWS1000ECENT is fully equipped for both acoustic and electric performance with the ultra thin B-Band® UST (under-the-saddle) pickup and B-Band A5 preamp. The B-Band® UST pickup has a wide dynamic range and reproduces original tones without affecting the instrument acoustically. It also capable of high gain output before feedback. The A5 preamp is designed for the player who takes a more straightforward approach to their sound and wants more EQ possibilities. Easy to view and use slider controls are used for the volume and the 4-band EQ. Rotary feedback controls, notch depth and frequency, differentiate the control field for less control error. Nestled between the rotary knobs there are a phase switch and a low battery LED. Operates on a standard 9-volt battery and has balanced 1⁄4" and XLR outputs.

I Bought this Guitar as a replacement for a Washburn I had bought new in 1995. It was a True Acoustic and I just didn't like how I had to always adjust the clip on mic I was using so I decided it was Past Time for an Acoustic-Electric. This Guitar had the best sound and Playability of many costing twice the price. I did find the On-board B-Band a bit small to adjust in a pinch but I will get better at that as I play it more I think. I love the On-board Tuner! Mine is Accurate as any tuner I have used and I have a few High End ones. Overall Unless your Heart is set on a Martin or even a Gibson I don't think you will find as good of a sound anywhere Dollar for Dollar!
ive haerd by a friend that this guitar stands with a very very great tone all its own and for the preice! theres no guitar thats allsolid constructed with a built in tuner at this price and its a name with years of experience in the making of guitars so buy with confidence!
I bought this guitar with great anticipation but was immediately disapointed. On the positive side, the B-Band electronics were fantastic offering very wide, realistic, tonal variation. The finish on the instrument was beautiful and the tilt neck adjustment is cutting edge. On the negative side, the first and second string were not positioned correctly on both the nut and saddle. Using two different tuners, proper intonation could not be acheived on open D and open A chords with the first string sharp on open D and the second string sharp on open A. I'm exchanging this for a Takamine EF340SC. Hope the Tak is better. The AWS1000 is made in China. Says it all!
