Let me just start with the cons.If you're looking for a guitar with a full bodied sound and great projection, look elsewhere. I'm not kidding when I say that this guitar (which is made out of laminates, covered in a thick poly finish) is about half as loud as a guitar made with solid tone woods. This isn't to say that it doesn't sound good, it does, it just isn't that loud. If you have crabby roommates, or live in an apartment complex with thin walls, this might be the guitar for you. Now for the pros. The quality is phenomenal! The frets are cut nice, and it's really easy to play. A great guitar for intermediate players. As for the plugged in sound, it sounds like any other guitar with a piezo, they all seem to sound the same to me anyway. The built in tuner is a nice addition. It is also fairly durable (I've dropped mine a couple times with not ill effect.) Last wordsThis guitar is worth the money, but like any guitar, it's about personal preference. I'd recommend trying one before you buy.

I bought this guitar from my local music store based on the glowing reviews on sites. But after I have owned the guitar 4 months some frets started buzzin, so i took it in to the store to have the frets fixed. The repair guy called me the next day and said that a bunch of frets were uneven and that he could not repair it. I called ibanez, who had decent customer service and they said its still under warrenty, props to them, but its gonna take 2 weeks just to sort it before they actually get to repairing and replacing it, plus i have to pay for shipping it there. Its kindof a hastle, cuz now i dont have a guitar for atleast 2 weeks and im out whatever shipping is, and its prolly not cheap. I felt obligated to share this, i dont know if i was unlucky but the quality is poor in my opinion if only last 4 months of light use.

Comments about Ibanez EW20ZWE EXOTIC WOOD SERIES Zebrawood Acoustic-Electric Guitar:
I wanted something that wasn't really expensive, but also had things I wanted like: cutaway, onboard tuner, natural wood color.
Extra perks were: Good fret inlay design, the free delivery was two days even though it said 6 business days.

Comments about Ibanez EW20ZWE EXOTIC WOOD SERIES Zebrawood Acoustic-Electric Guitar:
This guitar is really nice to play unplugged, but probably not the best if you want to plug it in. Maybe it's just my guitar that has problems, I'll have to get it checked out.
The guitar itself is amazing. I wouldn't have expected such a non-traditional wood to have such good sound, but the tone rivals that of much more expensive guitars. The fretboard is nicely finished and the infinity inlay set in abalone is very attractive. The preamp, however, is horrible. I like using this guitar for just sitting around and strumming, but I would never consider using it for recording. Even when you cut the mids and highs, the tone is buzzy and trebly, lacking thickness. It is also surprisingly quiet when you run it through an amp or PA. The tuner, on the other hand, is excellent. It's dead-on accurate.
Guitar quality--fantastic.
Preamp--needs work.
The price is a bit too much for an acoustic-electric with bad electronics.

Buy it!!!
I've had this guitar for two years and can't be more pleased with it. Everyone that sees and hears it can't believe it's an Ibanez. This is my second Ibanez (my first became a Christmas present for my son who is equally happy with that one). For the money you can't go wrong.
Very well built and even has XLR output built in for those recording sessions you don't want to mike.
I give this one a 20, but 10 is as high as they go.

Originally had purchased a Dean Exoctica "Bubinga" which is also an exotic wood acoustic...had to take i back, neck was twisting...found out some of these guitars from Dean were doing this......took it back to my local guitar center where i traded for this Ibanez, the sound that rang out of it was amazing, the looks are amazing, and the best part...i didnt have to pay a $1000.00 for it....i compared it to some of the higher end acoustics side by side...for the money, this acoustic is a players dream....

This is the second Ibanez that i have added to my colection, after my first Ibanez the art100 in cherry, freaken awsome guitar for the money, I deceided to get a new acoustic I figured I might as well try Ibanez again. Im very glad to say I was not disappointed. This guitar plays well above its price range, it sounds amazing-acoustic or plug it in to a nice amp and it sounds like heaven. Can't go wrong with this one, the only thing I don't like is the tuner, not very good but that is the only thing.

Ibanez EW20ZWE EXOTIC WOOD SERIES Zebrawood Acoustic-Electric GuitarLove this guitar! It is perfect for my purposes. I can sit by the ocean and play (well, practice) It really is a bit quiet when not wired which is perfect for playing indoors. But, wire it up and it is a totally different animal. There is a dimpled imperfection that looks like a tool mark of some kind just under the bridge on mine. It isn't post manufacture ding because the finish is totally smooth over it. At first this was disappointing. But, perhaps it adds something to the character of the instrument. I just wonder how it made it through QC with such an obvious imperfection. Such is the world of exotic woods I guess. The preamp is a champ! Gives me just what I need in a easy to use, if somewhat awkwardly positioned panel. But, that too may just be personal preference. The body profile (shallow toward the fingerboard deeper at the bridge) is new to me. And, very comfortable to play since it allows you to bring the neck into your body without bending over so much (seated).Action was perfect out of the box. Tuning machines are high quality - The abalone rosette and overall features are far beyond what you might expect from a guitar at this price point. All told. A great stick with impressive looks, playability and richness of tone. highly recommend.
Comments about Ibanez EW20ZWE EXOTIC WOOD SERIES Zebrawood Acoustic-Electric Guitar:
This is one beautiful guitar, and the quality of its sound is also exceptional. Another reviewer thought it played a little too "quiet" in the unplugged acoustic mode, but I don't find that to be true. If you want loud - plug it in!! My only concern is that it doesn't have a pickguard and I hate to think of scratching up the beautiful finish.
