I received the guitar fast, and when opened it was tuned up great. It looks better than on your site. Sounds wonderful too. A few days later the on board tuner stopped working and not sure why.

Features:

I got this from my wife for my bday. She new I wanted it cause I saw in the catalog and new these kind of deal don't come often.  I've played guitar for over 20 years and this is the best guitar per buck I ever got. I opened it and started playing it right out of the box, everything worked perfectly and the instrument and amp sound great. Typical strap and strings included. Chucked the other stuff.

Now as far as craftsmenship it looks sleek as the pictures. It feels sturdy under a pounding. I did notice fret glue here and there, and the foam sheet wrapped around it during shipping left a grittiness on the back's finish, but it'll polish off.

All in all it's a great guitar for anyone with big ands. I noticed this is being sold to beginners and females, but I can tell you the neck's action and width is best suited for a grown man. For girls and young people I would recommend a smaller and thinner necked guitar. Just putting that out there from my experience and as a part time instructor. Well worth the money. I would suggest this pack is worth more, but I wouldn't have paid that! The title says it all.

Quality:

there was some fret glue visible on the sides of the neck and fretboard, I'll polish it off. the amp, guitar strings and bag are of the general standard, very pleasing and familiar.

Value:

best bang for bucks ever

Overall:

if you know a guy looking to get a great guitar to impress everyone who comes over this is it.

This was pretty good but it should have protection for the finish.

Great price for what's offered!!!

Overall:

THe quality is great and gave me everything I needed to start learning!! The dvd was pretty basic, but teaches you a couple of chords and scales, along with some tuning and picking tips. It was good for me to start with, so i could go into my first lesson with some knowledge.  The amp is pretty good. The tuner is great, but for mine you have to plug in the cable to tune. You don't have to plug it into the amp, but it needs to complete the circut. It's a little annoying but i'm willing to do that. The tuning keys are pretty good, i almost never tune mine. overall, this was a great starter guitar!

Overall:

I bought two of these packs two weeks ago, one for my wife and one for me to learn to play the guitar.

The rating for quality is based on the tuner, guitar strap, and the instructional DVD. The guitar strap is made out of a cheap material especially the leatherette at the ends, the electric tuner is finicky. On my wife's guitar, the cable must be plugged into the guitar for the tuner to power on. On my guitar the tuner didn't work at first, then it worked without me having to plug the cable in, and since yesterday I have to plug the cable in to make the tuner power on, all with a fresh set of batteries. Clearly something wrong with the circuitry inside these guitars. You should also know that to get the tuner to work in this manner the cable doesn't have to be plugged into the amp at the other end, it is simply there to complete the circuit.

The finish of the guitar is good, not great but good, it is the quality that customers should expect from a reputable manufacturer at this price point, black with a few sparkles and creme accents around the body and fret board. The head of the guitar and the tuning machines are the nicest part of the entire guitar quality wise. The tuning machines are good and the guitar stays in tune.

The instructional DVD is extremely basic, do not count on it for teaching you how to play the guitar. There is a video from a gig which the teacher performed in, which is longer than the time he took to explain to you how to play the guitar. Please get yourself professional guitar lessons, or at least be ready to study on your own, whether online at the numerous websites or through literature, the DVD is useless.     The instruction manual which comes with the guitar is very limited and made for more than one model of Ibanez guitars.

On a side note, the amp that came with my guitar was made back in spring of 2010, the one that came with my wife's guitar is from about 6 months ago, they both look different from each other, and neither look like the on in the picture.     Her amp has a sticker only that says Ibanez right above the mesh.     My says Ibanez in big creme color plastic letters right over the mesh.

The strings that come with the guitar are fine for what we are doing, we are learning and they are perfect for this purpose.

Best thing about this pack for me is the fact that after we learn how to play guitar with this one, I will know better what I will want on my next guitar.     If I hadn't bought this guitar I would have never known what to look for in a more expensive model.

One last note, I have heard beautiful music come out of a plywood guitar before and feel that until the player outgrows the guitar it isn't time to upgrade, get this pack, learn to play and when you are so amazing that you outgrow this guitar, go for a better one, by this point you should know what you would want that guitar to be, what wood, what features, what shape and what sound.     Hope you enjoyed the review and found it helpful!

This pack features an Ibanez Acoustic-Electric Guitar with a few extras.     It is designed for the first time guitar buyer in mind, and it accomplishes that mission readily.     It arrives in one box which includes the amp, cable, a few picks, extra set of strings, and instructional DVD.     It comes with a built in tuner and a battery for its power source.

Please see overall review.

Value is great!!     I can't stress this enough.     Compared to the guitars at my local music store at the same price point, this is great bargain.     It got my wife and I playing right away with all the basics that we needed.
