OVERVIEW

Ibanez unveils an RG Premium in brilliant fluorescent finishes.

Ibanez's RG Premium series of guitars are designed for hardworking musicians. These guitars are for players who push their instruments to the fullest every night on stage and who demand real professional quality, both functionally and visually. A constant factor within the RG series is the Edge Zero II tremolo with the Zero Point System, which allows for killer trem effects as well as total tuning stability. These trem-equipped guitars have ushered in a whole new way to play hard rock and metal and they continue to push the boundaries while standing up to the most abusive whammy bar users around. Lightning fast fretboard work is no problem with the Wizard neck, flat fingerboard, and jumbo frets. And now, Ibanez offers the RG in a look as outrageous as its sound.

Comments about Ibanez RG1XXV 25th Anniversary Premium Electric Guitar:

I've been playing guitar for almost a decade, and have been playing Ibanez guitars for about as long. I've played my fair share of Ibanez guitars that have had bad pickups, worn out bridges, warped necks, popped frets and other stuff. But I've had this Ibanez for a while now and nothing bad has happened to it. The first thing you'll notice is the attractive colours. I bought the Pink one and it lights up any stage and will grab people's attention. The Edge Zero II bridge is a huge improvement over the Edge III bridges. It is very well put together and stays in tune great. The Dimarzio/Ibz pickups have tons of clarity and offer a lot of different tones for different styles of music. The neck feels comfortable to play. You can play as fast as you want on it. The frets feel nice and smooth as well. One thing I personally like is that this guitar (and the Premium Series in general) uses the big Ibanez logo from the 80s and early 90s RG's on the headstock, as apposed to the smaller prestige logo.

Right out of the box this guitar is ready to play any stage, and is bound to get you lots of attention with its blinding colours!

        A serious player's delight

Comments about Ibanez RG1XXV 25th Anniversary Premium Electric Guitar:

The sound, and especially the playability of this guitar exceeded my expectations. Out of the box, the action was a tad high for my tastes, but after minor bridge and truss-rod adjustments, this thing can play just as good, if not better, than my RG1570 Prestige. I was expecting it to sport the exact same neck as my RG920QM Premium, but to my surprise, it was just as wide (a good thing) as my Prestige, and almost as thin. Wide and thin necks are not only great for solos, but for playing complex Jazz chord structures as well. I play a variety of styles from Rock, Blues, Fusion Jazz, to Pop/R&B/Funk, and this guitar can accommodate practically any genre with its H-S-H pickup
configuration. Don't be fooled by that half-baked myth about Ibanez RG's being only good for Metal. As for its appearance; the yellow inlays don't look as cheesy as they do online, and I'm sort of partial to sharktooth inlays anyway. My only disappointment is the absence of a deluxe gig bag, which was included in the original Premium line, and a movable truss-rod cover, which was also part of the original Premium package. If you want a Prestige, but are short a couple hundred bucks, give the RG1XXV a spin - believe me, you won't be disappointed!
