The RG2228 8-String Electric Guitar is made in Japan by Ibanez's finest luthiers. It features a wizard neck with prestige finishing, advanced hardware and intense pickups.

Super Wizard neck
Fast, flat and slim 5pc Maple/Wenge neck, with KTS™ Titanium Reinforcement rods within. Super Wizard neck features the legendary ultra-thin, ultra-flat Wizard 17mm neck dimensions, but with 5-pc construction and KTS™ Titanium reinforcement rods for even greater strength.

Bridge
The double locking style fixed FX Edge III bridge offers maximum tuning stability and features a sleek low-profile design for playing comfort. The FX Edge III-8 bridge combines fixed bridge sustain and double-locking tuning stability.

Pickups
The D Activator™ 8 bridge model is most definitely a high-output pickup. The two coils are tuned to different frequencies for powerful, focused bass response combined with warm highs and extended harmonic overtones. The neck pickup with medium rather than high output. The two coils are tuned to different frequencies, and combining this feature with the output level produces a clear, musical sound. It also has a dynamic solo voice throughout the entire 8-string frequency range.
